How to get there
You will access the building from the street with an access code which takes you to the building stairs lined by traditional tiles taking you up to the fourth floor.
There is no lift but being on the top floor you get the most light and won't be troubled by noise from neighbours above you which is often an issue in older buildings here. The stairs also help you burn off the calories from the Pastel de Nata you will be eating from the local bakery each morning
Getting around
Being in the very centre, you can enjoy the city on foot and won't need a car as public transport and Uber / Cabify are fast, cheap and ubiquitous. If you feel like exploring further, maybe to spend a day at Cascais or Estoril beaches, then you have the nearby Cais do Sodré train stations, and the Metro stations of Terreiro de Paco (Blue line direct to the Zoo) and Baixa Chiado (Blue and Green lines) which are both 5 minutes away. Or get on board to cross the Tagus River to explore the apartment's name sake of the town of Almada.
