How to get there
Taxi from the new Murcia Airport takes just 20 minutes. You can also fly to Alicante Airport where there are more choices of airlines and flights from multiple UK airports. Alicante is 50 minutes drive to our apartment so you will need a car. Unlikely to be an issue for golfers and families, assuming you will hire a car anyway.

Getting around
Taxi to Los Alcazares is simple - book at The Shamrock Lounge just downstairs. It's 5.3 miles / 10 mins to the town, approximately €15. To return there is a taxi rank opposite Hotel 525 in The Square. Drive or taxi to the beach, again just 10 mins. It's a long beach stretching from the Marina for a few miles north. Wind and kite surfing is very popular. Check out Spinosa Bar and the beaches there. Sunbed rental is available. In 25 mins you can drive to La Manga, or 20 mins to Cartagena. Playa Honda Beach is also only 20 mins drive. Also worth travelling north of The Mar Menor Sea to explore the beaches on the Costa Calida where you can swim in The Balearic Sea.
