Getting around
The endless sandy beach of Plakias (100m.) is only one of the many exciting beaches near Plakias. Paligremos is one of the biggest beaches in Crete, offering a sense of space and comfort to suit every taste - the east end is mainly used by naturists. There are many lovely beaches near Plakias: 1. Limanaki (80 m.) 2. Ammoudaki (used also by nudists and naturists) 3. Ammoudi 4. Damnoni 5. Souda 6. Fotinari 8. Sxinaria 9. Preveli Palm Beach (20 min by car and 15 min. walking or boat trip) Two small traditional villages Mirthios and Sellia offer a panoramic view to Plakias and traditional taverns with Mediterranean cuisine.
