You have a fantastic view over the little village El Paso, the mountains and the sea from various viewing points. Geographically it is located in the center of the island of La Palma, covering to the west with the Caldera de Taburiente, part of the Aridane Valley, the Cumbre Nueva and the Cumbre Vieja. Cumbre Vieja (Spanish: Old Summit) is an active although dormant volcanic ridge. Caldera de Taburiente National Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional de la Caldera de Taburiente) is a large geological feature on the island. It contains the enormous expanse of the Caldera de Taburiente which dominates the northern part of the island, and was designated as a national park.
