How to get there

You will need a car if you are staying at Gardenia.There are 2 allocated parking spaces near the cottage, which is 300 m from the coast road.

Gardenia is less than 1.5 hours from the M5 at Exeter. Taking the A30 from Exeter is the main route to North Cornwall.

The nearest public transport from London is Bodmin Parkway railway station, 23 km away, where there is car hire available.

Newquay airport, 27 km away, also has car hire and in 2019 has direct budget flights from Aberdeen, Alicante, Belfast, Birmingham, Copenhagen, Doncaster/Sheffield,Dusseldorf, Edinburgh, Faro, Glasgow, Leeds/Bradford, Liverpool, London Gatwick, Southend, Manchester and Newcastle.

For sightseeing. Gardenia is well connected by road and is only 4 miles from the A39 at Wadebridge which will take you north and south to countless attractions. Port Isaac is a favourite location on the coast path, and its connections to Doc Martin adds interest, and Nathan Outlaw has two restaurants at Port Isaac Locally, you can take the Black Tor ferry from Rock to Padstow, to enjoy the picturesque harbour, variety of high end leisure clothing shops, and many pubs, cafes and restaurants, including those of Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.
