Maybe the first day starts like this: You sit in the shade of the Patio under

orange hibiscus ,lilac jacaranda and red bougainvillea,breathing the scents of the flowers, feeling the warm air, enjoying your first coffee and you start to plan your first day. Meanwhile, the children have discovered the swimming pool (10m x 5m) "Mama, Mama! There are dolphins in the water" and the laughter can be heard through the nearly 200m2 Villa with over 12 rooms, 2 fireplaces and a heater for the only 3 winter months.

Maybe you will decide to do the shopping and walk the 700m through shady streets up to the local supermarket/bakery. The car can stay safely on the property as the supermarket will deliver beyond a certain purchase price.

On your return to the villa, the children are chasing grandfather and a football around the large walled garden. (...Only the flowers and grandad may suffer)

After the shopping is stored in the large fridge-freezer, you may decide the first day is just too early to familiarise yourself with the ceramic hob or Miele oven in the fully equipped Kitchen, so you stroll the flat 350 m to the beach (5-7 minutes) through the leafy streets where in winter the wood fires and the scent of the flowers combine into a wonderful fragrance. Along the way the children might notice the florescent green parakeets that characterise our residential Villa area

The restaurants are popular all year round. The service is friendly and the selection ranges from fresh fish dishes to include tapas, Italian dishes, English Sunday roasts, excellent fresh salads and chilled Spanish wines. Enjoy sea views of the North African coast and Gibraltar whilst dining directly on beach or promenade.

The children want to play in the sea whilst you just want to sit in the shade and look out over the azure blue sea. Both are possible. You walk towards Puerto Banus to one of three sandy protected coves (10 minutes walk, see photos) which are excellent for children, the grandparents with wheelchair access.

You succumb and rent sun loungers and sunshades directly on the beach.

Both San Pedro Beach and the beaches towards Puerto Banus have showers and toilet facilities.

Back in the peaceful privacy of the villa you may laze under the shade of the palm trees swaying gently in a light summer breeze (there are five to choose from) or enjoy panoramic mountain views and private sunbathing upstairs on the rooftop lounge. Or explore the well established beautiful scented garden with its multitude of hues admiring bougainvillea, oleander, roses, citrus trees, hibiscus, cacti against the backdrop of blue skies and your azure blue pool.

( The pool is cleaned every 2nd day in summer )

Help yourself to our library and board games, think about the plans for the evening, the children (now exhausted) can watch a DVD in the lounge on the 55“ TV (Free TV SAT channels and Fibre Optic internet / WiFi ). Their Grandparents (even more exhausted) probably retired for a siesta in one of the three double rooms with ensuite shower/bathrooms) Everybody can have their own space here.

Night life , boutiques , department stores (El Corte Ingles) and people watching are a 20 minute walk to Puerto Banus (past those sandy coves) or for those in smart shoes or high heels; a 5 minute taxi ride. A 5 minutes longer ride and 7€ more (or a cheap local bus ride) takes you to Marbella , the Orange Square and Tapas Bars in the Old Town.

Sport: Water sports , Bike rental(they deliver and pick up from the house) Golf, Horse Riding and Hiking nearby or jogging all the way to Marbella along the beach.

For the kids , there are fun parks (Safari or Waterparks).

Excursions:Ronda, a 40 minute car drive to the oldest bullring in Spain or city excursions to Gibralter or Malaga take similar time.

Us:We are a European family living in Germany / Spain and have owned the Villa for 30 years. We are well known by neighbours and community administrators.

Paul and familly thank you for taking the time to write the review. So glad you enjoyed the extensive garden and felt at home in the Villa. The pool is definitely for the brave (that usually implies our children) in early April! But warms up quickly as soon as the night temperatures start climbing. I am glad the Wifi was acceptable , it is fed via optical fibre, better than in some Northern European countries! Yes, we need a booster for the patio bedroom. Thank you for choosing our villa. It takes a lot of (enjoyable) work to present this large villa and its gardens to our guests the way we would expect to find a rental villa. Great to see that it was acceptable. Anytime again. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Marc-Alexander (the owner) a message.

If Marc-Alexander (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
