This UNIQUE HOUSE on the Douro Riverbank is a two floored house which consists of an upstairs floor: an open lounge, two bedrooms (double beds towels and bed linens are provided) and one full bathroom with a shower, the downstairs floor: lounge, kitchen (washing machine, dishwasher, electric oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster etc) and bathroom.
This self-catering country house located on the Douro Riverbank is in the heart of the Douro Valley. The property is set in a peaceful private location, enjoys plenty of natural light and sun exposure throughout the day and has a unique and privileged view of the river and mountains from all windows of the house.
In addition to the harmonious landscape of the region, you can appreciate the unique and privileged view of the Douro River and the typical Rabelo boats / Douro boat cruises, which are one of the main tourist attractions of the region traveling on the Douro River sailing from Oporto to Régua, Pinhão or Barca d'Alva navigate directly in front of the house before entering into the Carrapetelo dam which is located 15 min away.
This is the perfect private place for nature lovers to enjoy alone, with family
and friends who want be embraced by the Douro River and its mountains which transfers harmony, tranquility and relaxation away from the city. The fact that the house setting on the riverbank allows for; direct access into the Douro River, offering favorable conditions for water-sport activities like swimming, fishing, kayaking (for the more adventurous, you can explore the river in a 2 person Kayak that is available on the property at 25€/day, however, it is recommend that you know how to swim and row), ….walking / along the riverbank and hiking trails in the montedeira mountains and its surroundings, as well as a private outdoor garden space where you can barbecue, read and relax surrounded by authentic natural beauty, makes this property unique, special and a treasure.
