“Thank you for a perfect stay in the most tranquil and pleasant of areas in the Cape - where one can relax not only at the poolside but also while boating on the pedalo, visiting quite waterways and stopping off and walking on secluded islands with plentiful bird life and good fishing in the area as well!! If one wants to undertake some more strenuous exercise then one can go for a pleasant canoe ride. To take a walk or bicycle ride in quiet and scenic streets was most pleasant. With one of the best swimming and surfing beaches within a short distance is a great plus. The standard of accommodation was of a high standard and could rival any 5 star hotel with good security at home as well as in the area.

“Sue's house is magnificent. It is literally right on the water on a secluded canal in Marina de Gama. Swim in the pool right on the water, or take a canoe and explore the many islands. The area is famous for its magnificent bird life and you are literally minutes away from the world famous swimming beaches. Although it's very quiet, it's a stones through away from some of the best restaurants in Cape Town. The house is very large, so guests have an entire private wing all to themselves. It doesn't get much better than this! I highly recommend staying here.”

“Just a short note to say how wonderful it was for Shirley and I to stay in the suite at your home at Marina da Gama. The suite was so private and most accommodating. Not only was the bedroom comfortable but we also enjoyed your additional facilities. We shall always make a point of staying at Marina da Gama when we visit the Cape. Thank you also for the warm welcome and the many other kindnesses.”

“I stayed here in November 2015 and my experience was entirely positive. The house is very welcoming, with a lovely open veranda for eating and relaxing, overlooking the swimming pool, and beautifully peaceful and tropical island - the marina alive with ducks, coots, cormorants just to mention but a few. One can either canoe or peddle boat on the marina and explore the numerous inlets and waterways, or even fish if you would like. The location is ideal, 5 mins from Muizenberg beach and all the beachside cafes and bars, 2 mins from motor way providing access into the city centre and surrounding areas and also 2 min away from the main road heading towards Kalk Bay, Simons Town, Cape Point, etc. For a relaxing stay away in a peaceful homely neighbourhood in Cape Town this is totally ideal.”

“This accommodation unit has a wonderful position, and is a great place to unwind in. The marina brings nature into your living room, yet it has all home comforts and mod cons. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a place to stay which is away from the noise and bustle of Cape Town, but close enough to Muizenberg to enjoy the cafes and beaches.”
