This delightful Marseillan Holiday Rental, just yards from the waters-edge includes wi-fi, air conditioning and a sunny terrace with views of boats coming and going from the port and marina..There are two bedrooms (one double and also a good sized twin). In the day there's lots to watch with the coming and going of port-side life, near the waters edge, as people arrive with their boats on trailers and take their boats for a day sailing or go for lunch in the port - in the high summer watch children jumping in off the boat jetty. The area is peaceful when day visitors have gone home with just the sounds of the swallows and in the morning the local ducks and seagulls make the early wake up sounds.

The location of the apartment is handy as it is just round the corner from the fabulous port-side cafes, restaurants and bars - or walk a few minutes on the flat and you will arrive in the old village with all the shops you need (bakery, grocer, butcher, chemist, tabac etc) and more restaurants and cafes. Also the watersports area is just 3 minutes walk. There are two supermarkets. Everything is within walking distance.

If you walk a few minutes towards the little local park you come to a lovely park with picnic benches, bbqs, children's area and a large watersports area (paddleboarding, kayaking and board training) . Also here there are tennis courts and a new selection of waterside shacks serving moules, oysters and a glass of wine! There is a massive sandy beach about 10 miles long a few minutes by car or local bus and Meze has a nice beach.

The property is south facing so gets a lot of sun (hot on a high summer day) for breakfast and lunch but is cooler in the evening often with a light breeze. Also there is shade at the back or sides of terrace during the day. The outside table seats 4 people for dining outside. Inside there is a large dining table and 4 chairs, a sofa and comfy chairs with TV. There is a nice kitchen area (with fridge/freezer, cooker, hob, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle and all the crockery and cutlery needed). The wifi is generally excellent if you need to keep in touch or use it to surf on your tablet or phone. There is a digital TV and TVMucho is handy if you want to watch lots of TV on your tablet.

Marseillan has everything you need for a pleasant holiday and many of my guests return year after year for the simple pleasures of living in such a lovely location. Of course with a car there are also many super places to visit within a short drive Pezenas, Sete, Meze and the aptly named Bouzigues for a fishy/boozy lunch. Within a day you can visit Carcassonne, Nimes, Lodeve, the Gorges d'eric, Clermont Herault, Bages, Roquebrun and the old village St. Guilhem-le-desert and return.

Holiday lets all year and longer month plus lets available with a discount off the weekly rates.. Changeovers are normally on a Friday/Saturday in high season but we will try and be flexible where possible. Parking is free on the roads outside. This Marseillan holiday rental sells out very quickly every year so please enquire fast to secure your chosen dates.

Lovely apartment in great location. We hired bikes and cycled to Sète, Meze,Agde and along the Canal du Midi. Good fun! Marseillan is a fine spot.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Diane (the owner) a message.

If Diane (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
