This is a perfect place for slow travelers, who has had their fair share of tourists traps, and wish to enjoy a laidback and genuine Asian community.

The apartment is without all the normal clutter so it is easy to keep clean and tidy. The idea is to attract 1 or 2 people who wish to escape a hectic lifestyle and enjoy the peace and tranquility as well as privacy by the sea. To recharge your batteries and maybe figure out what your next step in your life should be.

We offer great discounts for longer visits so please get in touch if you wish to stay longer than a week. If you are flexible with your dates you can rent our other unit "Lotus Oriental Vintage Experience" for an even lower rate than this one. Just get in touch so we can start talking

Our ambition is also to encourage single travelers to stay at LOTUS so the rate for ONE PERSON is only USD 25/night the for the first week.

2 PEOPLE pay USD 35/night and 3-4 PEOPLE pay USD 45/night.

The apartment has 2 bedrooms, each one with comfortable queen beds. One bedroom has air con. The other one a ceiling fan. There is one extra room that we use as a dressing room. You will have a fully equipped kitchen and 1,5 bathrooms

You got access to local tv channels and free WiFi. We rent out Bicycles to very reasonable rates.

It's located in Ujong Pasir, a most genuine and friendly mixed malaysian neighborhood, only 5 min walk away from the Portuguese Settlement, where they serve delicious seafood.

Along the main road in Ujong Pasir you can easily find chinese, malay or indian food, to very affordable prices.

The local bus No 17 goes from Melaka Sentral to Ujong Pasir and stops 200m away from our building. On the way it goes through the old part of Melaka as well as the new business district.

Walking distance from Lotus to:

Portugese Square = 5 min

Melaka Raya shopping area = 15 min

Mahkota Parade (the shopping malls) = 30 min

Jonker street (the historic part) = 50 min

Why can't I call Lars (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lars (the owner) a message.

If Lars (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
