We are located on a Barrier Island, just 6 miles from Melbourne International Airport, or 65 miles from Orlando International Airport. The Kennedy Space Center is just 37 miles to our North, and Vero Beach is 34 miles to our South. Between those two points, you will find 72 miles of Sun Drenched Beaches known as the Space Coast. Grab a Beach Chair, and walk to Melbourne Beach’s own uncrowded “Ocean Park” (winning awards as one of our nations cleanest beaches year after year). If you’d like to venture a little further out, World Famous Cocoa Beach is just a short 20 minute drive to our North, and the Sebastian Inlet State Park and Recreation Area is an even shorter drive to the South. The many Theme Parks of Orlando are only an hour and a half away.
Area activities include Golf, Tennis, Surfing, Sailing and Scuba Diving. Eco-tours of the Indian River Lagoon by Kayak are available, as are AirBoat tours along the Saint Johns River. Antique shops, Restaurants, and small night clubs are just across the river in Historic Downtown Melbourne, and a little further up the road at Historic Cocoa Village. Visit Port Canaveral, the second busiest cruise port in the world, and arrange a day cruise, or watch Cruise Ships while you dine on the catch of the day at a local restaurant. Or just sit in a rocker outside your door, and do nothing.
