Casa Lola is a 2 bed/2 bath elegant vacation Merida rental home with a private pool, and a peaceful oasis in Merida's Historical Center. Walk to the Main Square, and Santa Lucia park, and stroll less than 1 to 2 blocks to restaurants and all the vibrancy that is Merida. No need for a car, but we can provice secure parking close by should you rent one, free with 1 week stay.

2 bedroom/2 bathroom private romantic elegant home in the best location in Merida. Private pool, private bedrooms, private en-suite bathrooms, and all the amenities to cook, relax and enjoy.

You will love the interior of the home, with lots of added color, and yet peaceful and serene. Nestled in a safe neighbourhood in Centro, you can enjoy the local friendly people and be incredibly close to the action of the evenings in the parks and squares for shopping, eating, and cultural events. An amazing location. THe English Library is just a few blocks away, and is a wonderful source of reading materials, courses, comraderie, and their wonderful tours of the fabulous homes of Merida.

The neighbourhood is vibrant and yet safe. There is a nunnery and school behind the Casa, another school down the road, a parking lot just across the road, and a hotel on the corner where you can go and have a great buffet breakfast. The street can be busy as you are right in Centro, and yet once inside the house, you will not hear a lot of street noise. You can sometimes hear the little children happily singing songs with their teachers which is so charming. Just down the road, there are sellers with fresh oranges and fruit.

The home is a renovated antique home with 18 foot ceilings and beams, archways, and antique pasta tile floors.

Each bedroom is unique and has Queen beds and Egyptian cotton linens

One bedroom is Moroccan style and dressed in blue ikat cloth with fabulous lighting, and a great reading lounge chair.

The other Spanish style bedroom is just off the back patio and is very colorful with plenty of wrought iron and gorgeous peeks of the sunlight pool and garden.

Each bedroom has their own en-suite bathroom, with one also accessible for guests.

There is air conditioning in both bedrooms, and ceiling fans throughout the house for your comfort.

The living area in the front of the home has TV with cable, internet, and wifi.

We offer you a cell phone for your use during your stay as well to keep you in touch with our property manager or others in the area, and we have information on local restaurants and grocery stores close by the area.

The pool is perfect to refresh you after a morning of shopping or sightseeing and is 5 feet deep so perfect for exercising or just relaxing with your cold beer or glass of wine.

Our home is perfect for 1 to 2 couples.

Secure parking is available close by. Please let us know if you will have a vehicle during your stay. There is a daily rate, but it is free with a 1 week or more stay.

We do have a blow up bed which could be suitable for a single person, and that can be available to you.

Excellent house and location to Centro Merida. My wife and I stayed at the house for 16 days and enjoyed each day. Restaurants and shopping are near by and well within walking distance from the house.

Thank you Claire and Sean. We were so happy that you stayed at our home, and enjoyed it for your honeymoon. It sounds like you had a wonderful and relaxing time. Since your stay, we have put in a timed pool pump which takes care of the pool, and pool jets, and added some new plants for the back garden, and a few more antique items. We find the wifi extender helps with the wifi in the back bedroom, and outside sitting area, and wifi is not a problem there now, and also great in the kitchen and front bedroom. CItronella candles are a great idea for those pesky mosquitos. We usually provide some spray, and coils which can help too. We are always trying to think of how to make it easier and convenient for our guests so your comments are very helpful. Thank you for your wonderful review - we would love to have you stay anytime. Why can't I call Janis (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Janis (the owner) a message.

If Janis (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
