This open concept cottage in Mifflinburg features three bedrooms, two of them loft bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 180 degree water views of Penns Creek and Jack's Mountain. A great location for outdoor activities like fishing, kayaking, hunting, hiking, or visiting Universities - Bucknell, Susquehanna, and Penn State. This cottage was totally renovated and the large wood fireplace and open concept give a cozy, relaxing, vacation feel. It has central air-conditioning for the warmer months. Kitchen has custom white cabinetry, granite counter tops, and a dining kitchen island that will seat six. The kitchen is supplied with dishes and cookware, refrigerator, gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and farm sink. The home's focal point is the large wood fireplace and has wood available for you. It can be viewed from the living room, kitchen and upstairs bedrooms. There is one downstairs bedroom with a full size bed. There is a bathroom on the first and second floor. There are two open loft bedrooms upstairs. One bedroom has a bunk. The other has a queen size bed. Six can sleep comfortably. There is an outdoor slate patio, fire circle, charcoal grill, and patio seating for six. The location of this cottage/cabin is in beautiful central PA which has lovely mountains and is dotted with picturous farms, rolling hills and babbling streams.

Renters must be age 22 or older. Linens provided, renters bring paper products and hygiene items.

My family enjoyed our stay at Bear Den cabin. It was very comfortable and inviting. Brenda went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed!! We would definitely stay again!!

Why can't I call Brenda (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Brenda (the owner) a message.

If Brenda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
