“Second visit, just as good as the first!”

Reviewed 26 Feb 2018

It was lovely to be back at Berry Cottage for our annual February break with friends, in this wonderful part of Hampshire. The well-equipped, spacious kitchen is a great, cosy room for sitting around the large table & catching up over a meal & a glass of wine. The lounge has been enhanced by the new larger flat screen TV & the addition of a DVD player. Each beautifully decorated bedroom having it’s own en suite means you’re not on top of each other or queuing to use the facilities! The very thoughtful welcome basket is a lovely touch. We tried a few new places this year that are all worth a visit; The Cave on Church Hill (fine wines, 30 ales & a great cheese board), The Wash House (micro ale pub) which served some unusual Gin’s & Monsoori Heights Indian Restaurant ( we had a Takeaway). Being able to park in the car park, belonging to The White Horse just across the road, was so convenient too & wasn’t too onerous for the guys in our group to ensure they had a pint most evenings having walked the dogs! The owners, Tiff & Steve could not do enough to ensure we had a great stay & once again we would not hesitate to recommend this property to family & friends.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a glowing, and helpful review. I am glad you included some of the local places too, as there is such a wide choice available for just a small village. We very much hope we can welcome you again in the future. Thanks again!
