Located: in Casais de Sao Clemente village. Half way between Lisbon & Porto with quick access to A13 motorway enabling you to easy access to explore the region. The vibrant market town of Miranda do Corvo is 5mins drive away & Figuera da Foz beach 45 mins drive. The nearest city is Coimbra, 15mins up the A13 to the north.
Local amenities: O Careca is a Wifi enabled cafe, bar and restaurant is 3 mins walk away, they serve traditional Portuguese cuisine and a fantastic local house red wine. (all at very reasonable prices) They also have a small shop and a games room with pool tables and dart board.
There are hiking trails right from the door, through the forests, vineyards & olive groves, so don't forget your walking boots!.
Casa da Casimira:
This pretty little cottage has a playful colour scheme and some quirky decorative features. From the balconies and patios there are stunning views past the little white church of St Clemente across to the Serra da Lousa Mountains.
Ground floor:
The house has two large patios which face to south and east and a garden area with olive trees. The outdoor space has dining, seating and BBQ areas, guests are welcome to eat whatever is ready for picking in the garden during their stay.
The spacious sunny fitted kitchen/diner with large dining table, fridge, cooker, washing machine etc. It has a lovely little stained glass window of an olive branch and direct access out to the main patio and garden.
Bathroom has loo, bidet, bath with shower over.
Utility cupboard under the stairs has a drinks cooler for picnics, a picnic rug, iron & ironing board, high chair & travel cot, as wall as a couple of boards for 'body boarding' if you take a trip to the beach.
First Floor:
The quirky mosaic stairs open onto a large sitting room with high beamed ceilings and a fireplace made from the old original bread oven. There is a large balcony to east with fantastic views over the village church to the Serra da Lousa mountains. There is a TV & DVD player and on the sitting room shelves there are a wide variety of DVDs, Portuguese maps, dictionaries and phrase books, as well as board games, playing cards and books.
Master bedroom has a double four poster bed, wardrobe and south facing balcony, which looks down into the village.
The smaller 2nd bedroom has a double bed and clothes rail.

Parking is on the road side, but it is a quiet village lane, which only leads to a small residential area up the hill, so there is no through traffic.
