Set in 14 secluded acres of garden, meadows and woodland at the end of a quiet lane serving a hill-top hamlet, Teyssières has a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. Completely renovated and modernised to a very high standard, the farmhouse retains its traditional style with exposed beams, a traditional stone open fireplace and a pigeonnier.

Much of the furniture is in the traditional French style, with antique wardrobes and some wide single antique beds. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is Freesat TV and a DVD player, a stereo system with CD player, a snooker table, books and board and card games.

Notes on accommodation: The farmhouse is suitable for children. Please note: there are some low ceilings with limited headroom in 2 of the bedrooms upstairs. There is parking space for 8 cars in the drive at the front of the house.

Outside: At the back of the house there is a large, secluded and covered terrace which overlooks lovely countryside. It leads to the private pool which is 12 x 6 m with roman steps and a security fence. The terrace is equipped with a dining table which seats 12, a barbecue, loungers, a drinks fridge, table tennis table and boules. The gardens and meadows are extensive and offer complete privacy.

Cleaning, linen and towels: The farmhouse is cleaned between lettings. Available on request: bed linen and bath and hand towels (but not swimming towels), a welcome pack, 'fruits of the region', extra cleaning and central heating.

The large sitting room has a traditional open stone fireplace with a wood-burning stove and doors to the garden. There is Freesat TV and a DVD player, a stereo system with CD player and a snooker table. The dining table seats 12.

Two of the downstairs bedrooms have doors to the garden and the bedroom in the pigeonnier has a balcony.

The study has a desk and wireless broadband. There are portable fans and a large capacity washing machine (9 kg).

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
