The owners have carried out an accurate and rigorous renovation whilst ensuring a structure which respects the norms of bio-architecture. The living areas have been renovated with a careful eye for details - genuine antique furniture and ornaments, antique doors, prints, paintings and Persian carpets antique fireplaces and a billiard room. On the other hand the house has every possible modern comfort (air-conditioning, wi-fi, TV LCD).
ACCOMODATION: The villa is 500 square meters and can accommodate 15/19 persons in 7 bedrooms (4 double bedrooms with king size beds, 1 triple room, 1 room with two single beds and 1 single room) each with bathrooms, all with Jacuzzi. Air conditioning in all rooms. It extends on two levels:
Ground floor: living-room separated from the dining-room by a large open fire, sitting-room with double sofa-bed, card table, ancient fireplace and access on to the garden, dining-room (table for 8 persons) with access on to the garden, main kitchen (oven, small microwaves, large fridge with ice maker and freezer, dishwasher, toaster, American coffee maker and a purified water tap with 3 buttons: natural water, natural cold water, sparkling cold water) with fireplace, dining table (for 8 persons) and access on to the outside, second kitchen (oven, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, American coffee maker) with dining table (for 6 persons), laundry (washing-machine, dryer, ironing facilities), TV-room (satellite TV, DVD reader) with piano and double sofa-bed, billiards room with access on to the garden, 2 bathrooms with Jacuzzi shower.
1st floor: double bedroom (king-size bed) with small living area (2 armchairs and coffee table), walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom with bathtub and Jacuzzi shower, double bedroom (king-size bed) with ensuite bathroom with shower, double bedroom (king-size bed) with ensuite bathroom with shower and walk-in closet, double bedroom (king-size bed) with ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi shower and access via a spiral staircase (8 steps) on to an open gallery with a single bed, bedroom with 3 single beds, bedroom with a single bed, bathroom with bathtub and Jacuzzi shower.
Mezzanine floor (accessible via 8 steps): twin-bedded room (without door) with nice panoramic views.
GARDEN & SWIMMING POOL: The pool (6 x 12 meters and depth of 1.35 meters) is exclusive to the guests of Villa Monsummano. It is situated on a natural terrace a few metres below the villa level and has a wide view of the valley below. It is an overflow pool and is equipped with hydromassage, swimjets system for water treadmill and changing room with shower and WC.
There is a sunbathing area with umbrellas, chairs, tables and divans. Further down to the right of the pool there is a relax area with a gazebo and chairs. There is also a small children's corner. Under the pool deck there is a changeing room, a shower and a bathroom.
Surrounded by 18 acres of olive groves, it is ideal for your visit to the most famous Tuscan art cities and as a refuge in which to relax. The villa is surrounded by a 3,000 square metre garden, where on the lower level, there is the swimming pool, overflow and equipped with hydromassage. On the upper level a bar-b-que and a pergola for outdoor eating.
