From the owner

The house has just been renovated, well insulated and fresh. It includes a studio on the ground floor and an apartment on the first floor for a total of 8 people. But every room can also be rented individually for a few people with obviously proportionate rates. Wi fi and out. The studio is spacious with a well equipped kitchen. It has a sofa bed and a sofa bed (comfortable! The sofa bed has a comfortable mattress memory) for three people. Bathroom with spacious shower. The apartment consists of a cozy living room with kitchen, two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and a bathroom with large shower. The living room has a sofa bed (comfortable) for a fifth person. It has a roof terrace for pleasant outdoor dining. We rent our 125 Vespas for fun rides up and down the hills. The house is located in the historic center of the town of Montafia is located in a prime location as it is housed in a large raised garden supported by the ancient castle wall. There is a wonderful panoramic view of the Sanctuary of Don Bosco, the hills of Turin and the Alps. From this side you can see beautiful sunsets. To the south, the garden is overlooking the lovely square of the parish church. The north side is bordered by another area of the ancient wall that, due to its exposure to the sun throughout the day, after sunset radiates the heat stored and makes the surrounding area a mild climate even during the early spring and late autumn . Not surprisingly, during the summer the wall cavities are filled with countless caper plants which, with its beautiful flowers, is a typical variety of southern Italy. To the east there is the paved ramp of old bricks. The property is fully closed and recintata.Gli guests have the opportunity to take advantage of every point of the garden. There are some corners equipped for pleasant outdoor dining, and you can taste the seasonal fruits of the trees in the garden. From this location you can enjoy complete relaxation in the tranquility of the countryside in a confidential manner and simultaneously experience the country, with its most important services. In the structure there is a small shop housed in an ancient infernotto wall. Here you can find for sale handicraft objects of our production (curious wrought metal jewelery, lamps made from dried gourds, baskets willow as you once did ...), as well as the traditional local products (wines honey, jams, hazelnuts ...) We have two cars inside and a garage with a parking space. Alternatively you can park on the adjacent square. We are available to accompany our guests on walks and picnics in the countryside or visiting the surrounding areas aboard our fun Citroen Mehari 70s, or to visit the crutin of our house not far from the house. "Crutin" is an old term in Piedmontese dialect which indicates the ancient infernotti excavated into the tuff under the houses with typical cellar use of this area. We do not live in the structure but only 100 meters away from it, so that our guests have the maximum privacy. But we are always in the area and any requirement we are ready to intervene. We want to listen and satisfy any request of our guests within the limits of our possibilities, such as breakfasts, meals, entertainment ... The surroundings of Montafia are very interesting. In the immediate vicinity there are beautiful Romanesque churches. In the radius of 2 Kilometers there are three! The campaign Montafia ideal for pleasant walks or bike rides. There are stables and ponds for fishing and farmhouses for unforgettable food and wine tours. A 5 km from the Basilica of St. John Bosco at Castelnuovo, birthplace of the famous saint of Asti and 20 Km there is the beautiful and famous Abbey Vezzolano, one of the oldest and most important monuments of faith and art in Piedmont. At 20 Km there is the city of Asti in September that offers the festivities related to the Palio and Duja with its wines. Just 40 kms away, Turin, easily accessible by highway by train. renovated City, rich in art and history. Difficult to list in a few words what you can see in the first capital of Italy: the beautiful royal residences, the Egyptian Museum (second only to the Cairo Museum), the Mole. Well ... an area full of unexpected surprises
