From the owner

Chalet de la Vanoise is a gorgeous family-run, catered chalet in the winter and is open all year round. It has an outdoor Hot Tub with stunning views of Mont Blanc, a Sauna with hammam option and lots of personal touches including ski boot drier/warmers and a large private car park. It is a wonderfully equipped chalet. There are 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms over 5 family Suites. Each suite is en-suite. Every bathroom has bathrobes, fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. Every Suite has good WIFI access, UK Sockets and Stereo/IPOD docking stations as well as lovely linen and furnishings. There is a well-stocked bilingual library. The kids playroom is fab and kids love it as it has WII, Xbox, TV with DVDs, table football and comfortable sofa. The spacious lounge/diner with drinks available all day including a bean to coffee machine is a hit with the families as is the homemade afternoon tea of cakes and bread. We offer a high tea for children if requested so the adults can relax with great local food and a selection of wine while the little ones recharge their batteries. There is a surround-sound cinema system in the lounge. We are in an ideal ski in location and only 100m from the piste and 10 mins from the village. The new health spa is only 5 mins away and is a relaxing après-ski activity if the nearby lounge bar doesn't tempt you. We have a minibus for any tired legs. This really is an ideal base for families and groups looking for a homely, catered winter holiday near the piste. The chalet is fully serviced by an experienced team and all extras are organised for you from the minute you book. Massages and childcare available in house - Ski fitting in house - reduced priced ski passes.

A homely, well furnished and superbly equipped chalet with lovely large balconies and stunning views from all bedrooms. The ski room is huge which allows for the home fitting service of skis and boots so you can relax while your skis are being fitted. For self catering groups, the kitchen is really well equipped with a large oven and all Savoyard Cooking tools so guests can organise their own raclettes and fondue nights. For catered guests, we employ a professional chef. English plugs in all the rooms mean no adaptors are necessary and IPOD docking stations in the bedrooms mean guests can also bring their own music. Hairdryers in all the bathrooms as well as fluffy bath robes, towels and complimentary toiletries.The surround sound stereo system in the lounge means any films can be watched in atmosphere with a selection of films on offer. A wide selection of books are also available in our library. WIFI is available throughout the building. Satellite TV as well as Xbox are available in the lounge and playroom. The sauna is a great relaxing space and has a hammam option. Massages are available in house and it is only a 5 minute walk to the New Espace Paradisio Wellness Centre. This is a great venue for skiers and non skiers alike. Non skiers can even access the pistes with a cheap pedestrian pass.

We have our own Private Car Park right outside the chalet for up to 6 cars. There is a Sledging area for children in the rear garden and we have sledges. A Large private terrace with seating and BBQ is available in the summer months. We also have a Table Tennis Table and a Childrens Playroom with games and table football. We are open all year round and being situated on part of the famous GR5 we are in a great location for walkers and mountain bikers. We also now have a Spa / Wellness Centre called Espace Paradisio which is open all year for exercise classes and treatments. The area is ideal for Cyclists and we have secure storage for bikes. We have safes for valuables. The Chalet has been accredited with 3 stars by Gites de France and has been recognised as a family and baby friendly venue.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lee (the owner) a message.

If Lee (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
