BEAUTIFUL STYLISH SKI CHALET, RIGHT BY SKI LIFT

Catered (demi-pension) in winter; self-catered in the summer.

Chalet Chocolat is a new, boutique chalet in Montchavin-La Plagne. This new-build chalet is part of an exclusive development in Montchavin, located right by (a few steps away from!) the 'Les Coches' cable car in Montchavin.

Arranged spaciously over 4 floors, Chalet Chocolat uses a clever mix of local stone and wood to create an authentic yet contemporary feel. Every bedroom has a glorious view of Mont Blanc and the ensuite bathrooms are modern and stylish.

The large, open-plan kitchen/diner and lounge has stunning views of the mountains, with comfortable sofas arranged to create an area around the TV and fireplace. Plus a full-width balcony to enjoy both the glorious views and the bracing mountain air.

On the roof terrace of Chalet Chocolat is an outdoor hot tub, where you can enjoy a glass of champagne and gaze out at the stars.

Outside, there is a private garden, which is perfect for chilling in the spring and summer time.

Situated in Montchavin, which together with Les Coches makes Montchavin Les Coches, (one of the 10 resorts that make up La Plagne), Chalet Chocolat is opposite the Evolution2 shop (ideal for ski school and ski hire) and a few minutes walk from the resort centre with its shops, restaurants and bars.

There is secure underground car parking (2 spots), plus everything else you'd expect form a top-end chalet holiday - free wifi, roaring log-fire and plenty of comfy sofas.

CHALET CHOCOLAT FLOOR PLAN

Sleeps 10 - 12 in 5 bedrooms (4 double/twins and 1 family room, which has 1 double/twin + bunkbed). Each room can be made up into a double or a twin.

You can rent all the bedlinen (duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases, towels, hand towels and bath mat) for 15€pp.

OUR SERVICE

During the winter ski season, the chalet is managed by Alpine365, a tour operator in its 15th year. We offer the chalet as a catered service (breakfast, afternoon tea and 4-course dinners, with complimentary wine at dinner, prepared by a restaurant-trained professional chef & host). We pride ourselves on the 4-course gourmet dining that you will experience!

In the summer, the chalet is offered as self-catered. Your chalet staff live separately in a nearby apartment in Montchavin.

ACCESS TO SKIING

Chalet Chocolat is right next to a ski lift – the “Coches” bubble-lift is a literal stones throw from the chalet, but also a few minutes walk into the town centre.

So in the morning, it’s a (very quick!) walk to the lift to whisk you up into the skiing. And in the afternoon in good snow cover, you can ski back down to Montchavin and cut off to Chalet Chocolat, meaning you can ski back to within about 10 metres of the front door (or to the bar opposite the chalet if you prefer…). And all on a blue slope.

And if your legs are a bit weary after a long day on the mountain you can even take the bubble lift back down to the chalet.

For winter ski guests, before your arrival, Alpine365 owners (Duncan and Toorna) will be personally in touch with you to organise train or airport transfers; your lift passes; ski school; childcare; check on dietary requirements; restaurant reservations on staff day off, and ensure everything is organised so all you need to do is turn up and go skiing! During your stay, you will be looked after a couple - a professional, restaurant-trained chef who will cook for you (breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner) plus a chalet host, who will keep the chalet clean and tidy. In the summer (self-catering), we give you access codes to let yourselves into the underground parking and the chalet.

Why can't I call Duncan (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Duncan (the owner) a message.

If Duncan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
