CONTEMPORARY SKI CHALET NEXT TO A SKI LIFT

Chalet Grizzli is a stunning, boutique chalet in Montchavin. Just like its sister Chalet Chocolat next door, Chalet Grizzli is a new-build and part of an exclusive development, located next to the 'Les Coches' cable car in Montchavin.

Chalet Grizzli is beautifully designed over 4 floors, combining a stylish blend of local stone, alpine timber and luxurious decor to create a chic yet contemporary feel. Each of the 5 bedrooms have a view of Mont Blanc and the ensuite bathrooms are bright and modern.

On the third floor, there is a spacious kitchen, dining and lounge area, which features a full width balcony with great views, perfect for catching the sunset after a day's skiing. There are plenty of comfortable sofas arranged around the fireplace.

Chalet Grizzli has an outdoor hot tub on the roof terrace, where you can enjoy a glass of bubbly and gaze out at the stars.

Guests in the spring and summer time can enjoy spending time in the private garden at the back of the chalet.

As they are right next door to each other, Chalet Grizzli can be combined with Chalet Chocolat to sleep large groups of up to 24.

Situated in Montchavin, which together with Les Coches makes Montchavin Les Coches, (one of the 10 resorts that make up La Plagne), Chalet Grizzli is opposite the Evolution2 shop (ideal for ski school and ski hire) and a few minutes walk from the resort centre with its shops, restaurants and bars.

There is secure underground car parking (2 spots), plus everything else you'd expect form a top-end chalet holiday - free wifi, roaring log-fire and plenty of comfy sofas.

CHALET GRIZZLI FLOOR PLAN

Sleeps 10 - 12 in 5 bedrooms (4 double/twins and 1 family room, which has 1 double/twin + bunkbed). Each room can be made up into a double or a twin. You can rent all the bedlinen (duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases, towels, hand towels and bath mat) for 15€pp.

OUR SERVICE

During the winter ski season, the chalet is managed by Alpine365, a tour operator in its 13th year. We are offering the chalet as self-catered, but we can offer a catered service (breakfast, afternoon tea and 4-course dinners, with complimentary wine at dinner) at an extra charge.

We are committed to following and adhering to the Covid-19 Cleaning Protocols which include:

– Our cleaners wear a mask and protective gloves

– We have removed books, games, cushions and unnecessary objet d'arts to limit the propagation of the virus

– We have paid particular attention to high frequency touched surfaces

– We leave you a cleaning kit with essentials to use during your stay

ACCESS TO SKIING

Chalet Grizzli is right next to a ski lift – the “Coches” bubble-lift is a literal stones throw from the chalet, but also a few minutes walk into the town centre.

So in the morning, it’s a (very quick!) walk to the lift to whisk you up into the skiing. And in the afternoon in good snow cover, you can ski back down to Montchavin and cut off to Chalet Grizzli, meaning you can ski back to within about 10 metres of the front door (or to the bar opposite the chalet if you prefer…). And all on a blue slope.

And if your legs are a bit weary after a long day on the mountain you can even take the bubble lift back down to the chalet.

We are an independent, family-run business and we make sure we go the extra mile to ensure our guests have a great holiday.

Before you arrive, we will have been in touch with you to organise and pre-book all your ski holiday extras such as airport transfers; lift passes, ski school and ski hire, as well as childcare and checking on any dietary requirements or allergies you may have (for catered service).

Before your arrival, you will receive: - directions, parking info, code to enter chalet - info & discounts on lifts passes, lessons, ski hire, childcare, restaurants, massage - if you have requested the hot tub (extra charge), we will come into the chalet, clean and dose the hot tub with chemicals every day to make sure it is safe to use. All our staff will wear a mask when visiting the chalet. If you have any questions during your stay, just get in touch! We live near the chalet so are always available.

Why can't I call Duncan (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Duncan (the owner) a message.

If Duncan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
