Located in the Loire Valley between Blois and Tours, amidst the most prestigious Loire Chateaux, surrounded by forests and vineyards, in a 700 hectare estate with lakes for fishing, the Gîte des Orfeuilles is a farmhouse dating from 1830, in a calm, wooded countryside setting, 1 kilometre away from the nearest and the owners' houses.Up to 12 people can be accommodated in the main house and the charming barn (400m²), with 5 bedrooms (18 to 28m²), 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen / dining room, sitting room with fireplace, las well as a private swimming pool, heated to your taste.Ideal for a holiday house, the Gîte des Orfeuiles is spacious and extremely comfortable, having been lavishly restored in 2005, in keeping with the original style. Here you can spend your holidays far from everyday stress and noise. Leave your car under the car shelter and take the gravel path to the houses.Lavender and aromatic herbs beautify the courtyard, and behind the grange out of the wind, you can enjoy the sunshine around the heated swimming pool, on a large terrace with sun beds and teak furniture. So that you don't have to worry about the children, there are no knick-knacks or bothersome objects, the swimming pool has a safety alarm and there is lots of space so they can play to their hearts' content. We had a terrific stay here. The location is superb for getting around the area. The facilities were just as expected and we all relaxed after seeing sights and wine tasting.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Stéphanie (the owner) a message.

If Stéphanie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
