About the home

Moulin de la Roque former Rock Mill in its own private grounds and surrounded by its own woodland we are close to the Chateau de Cerisy. In the main house we have an adjoining appartment accommodation with mezzina family bedroom sleeping 1 double bed and 2 singles (4 persons), we can cater for additional children i.e. cot, highchair etc. In the grounds we have two gites 1 bedroom (1 double bed, bathroom, kitchen/diner and living room downstairs). 2 bedroom gite with 1 double bedroom, mezzine with 2 singles leading on to a new showerroom, downstairs (kitchen/diner and lounge) We are in central Normandy, near the DD landings and beaches an hour's drive away. We are also close to beautiful sandy beaches of Monmartin sur Mer and Agon Countanville again 1 hours drive away. Bayeux, Mont St Michel, Granville, Villiedeu De Polles Copper Village the list is endless. Local parcs and zoo's for the younger children, aquatic centre in Cherbourg. There are local randonnes/walking routes the details of which you can get from our local Tourist Information Office in the Village of Cerisy la Salle. Cerisy la Salle has many amenities, including 2 bakers, bank, florist, post office, supermarket (Proxy), butchers, hairdressers. Local pony club. We are 15 km away from the medieval town of Coutance (1/2 hrs drive away with its larger stores and supermarket LeClerc) and St Lo. So we are quite central and have many benefits of being situated where we are.

The local beautiful sandy beach of Monmartin sur Mer children will die for! (15 km) just a short distance drive.

The decor is attractive and cosy contrast for the modern living but also with the traditional Normandy countryside home with stone walls and wooden beamed ceilings, a perfect setting for a romantic trip away.

Owner absent. Neighbour helpful with problems. Cosy cottage, stairs to bedroom - older guests may find this difficult. Beautiful area, wonderful day trips, amazing autumn leaves.

Hi Jenny and Peter, so pleased to hear that you enjoyed staying at the apartment and can only apologise for not being there during your stay it has been quite a tough few days with Dad's funeral. I did not realize the gas was turned off, as we had left it on for you, presumably Laurent thought it was off and thought he had turned it on!! The area in which we live seems to be just right for touring as we seem to be central for both sides of the coastlines. We have just purchased some routers by the advice of my grandson!! as we are not that technical minded!! to make it easier for guests to access the internet so will install these asap. We are hoping to get back home towards the end of next week as our daughter has an operation on Monday Regards Sue

Comfortable and quiet

How do damage deposits work?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sue (the owner) a message.

If Sue (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
