Sandy Walks Holiday Cottage is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac in the picturesque seaside village of Morfa Bychan with views of the neighbouring 18 hole Porthmadog Golf Course, Moel-Y-Gest Mountain.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms sleeping 4 however is only suitable for up to a maximum of 3 adults.

The cottage is within easy strolling distance to some of the most scenic costal paths and sandy beaches in North Wales with spectacular coastal views of the Cardigan Bay area. The beach of Black Rock Sands is only 800m from the cottage with the stunning secluded beaches of Samsons Bay and Borth-Y-Gest less than a mile away. Snowdonia National Park is also right on the doorstep of Porthmadog. The local beach club Black Rock Sands Beach Club serving food and drinks is only a 10 minute walk away.

The cottage benefits from a comfortable living room seating for with a flat screen TV, DVD player and wood burning stove. An open plan kitchen diner seats 4 and leads onto a conservatory with views of the enclosed private paved garden. WiFi (fibre optic) access is available.

The local village store and chip shop (seasonal opening times) are within a few minute’s walk with the popular bustling harbour town of Porthmadog, where you will find all your local amenities only a 5 minute drive away. There is also a local caravan park with an entertainment complex to entertain young ones.

Porthmadog is home to both the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways along with the Glaslyn Ospreys Wildlife Centre. Other local attractions within a short drive are the historic village of Portmeirion and the castles of Criccieth and Harlech. Beddgelert is a lovely little village a 15 minute drive away and is home to the legend of Gelert and you can also take the 30 minute scenic drives to Betws-y-Coed and Barmouth.

For the more adventurous guest Zip World Slate Caverns are less than a 30 minute drive and you can experience activities including the first 4 person zip line in Europe and an underground playground of suspended trampolines and slides.

The local bus service stops within a few 100 meters from the property should you wish to explore the area and beyond without your car.

Whether you are looking to relax and unwind or have an active and energetic holiday Sandy Walks is in a great, central location for you to have a memorable holiday with your family. You can stroll or relax on the many sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay or explore the many lakes and stunning walks in Snowdonia National Park.

Why can't I call Rachael (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rachael (the owner) a message.

If Rachael (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
