The house was lovely and exceptionally well appointed with everything thought off to make a stay away from home comfortable. Great location only minutes walk to the beach.

Hi Stephen, If you stay again please feel free to communicate with myself or our property manager directly so we may allay any concerns you have during your stay. The bed in the main room has a memory foam topper on a queen innerspring mattress. This provides a softer feel to the bed, similar to those used in high end hotels. We would have happily removed the topper (which is easily done), if you let us know. Regarding your deposit, Flipkey holds and manages that money. We, the owners of the house never hold the money. Flipkey's terms state that they initiate return of deposits 10 days after the guest has checked out, which I trust they have done. Otherwise, I'm pleased that you were happy with your stay and look forward to the possibility of welcoming you back. best wishes Susan

Thanks Stuart, very sorry about the arcade machine. A guest damaged it last year (and didn't let us know) and we have been trying to repair it, but it is taking longer than we had hoped. We've just tested the white iPod player and it seems to be working fine, but we are using an iPhone a couple of years old. Perhaps you have one of the newest iPods and was not compatible?? Thanks for bringing to my attention as had not been mentioned before. Thanks for taking the time to write down your experiences. Glad you appreciate the knives! We choose to put some higher end items in the house hoping that our guests will appreciate and respect the special touches. Hope you can relax here again in the future. all the best Susan

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Susan (the owner) a message.

If Susan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
