Ripley Hill Cabin is located on a hill overlooking the Farm Pond, one of two lakes on our property. It has a wood stove and a field-stone fireplace to warm a chilly evening.

The cabin has two private bedrooms. One has a queen bed and the second has a full bed and a twin bed. There is a sofa bed in the main room and a queen bed on a screened sleeping porch.

The kitchen has a solar-powered refrigerator and propane stove as well as a sink. Hot and cold running water is available inside the cabin. Ripley Hill Cabin has an indoor bathroom with a sink, toilet, tub and shower. There is also a (very clean) outhouse, for a fun, rustic experience.

There is an outdoor fire pit at Ripley Hill with a grill grate and grilling implements. Firewood provided.

Ripley Hill Cabin is a 5 minute walk from our playground and swimming pond, and a 35 minute walk to a pristine lake where guests swim and canoe. Trails cross the property and our resident caretakers will be happy to provide you with friendly help during your stay.

Cold Spring and Ripley Hill Cabins are close together, but out of sight from each other. Rent them together for larger groups or family reunions.

Forest Echo Farm in Mt. Holly, Vermont, offers an escape to the wilderness within a comfortable, rustic setting. Our two rental cabins provide you with a vacation spot amidst 400 acres of Vermont forest and meadows.

Forest Echo Farm is dedicated to the simple life. No power lines cross our property, no electricity reaches our cabins. We have no screens to distract us from the sound of the wind in the leaves, no WiFi to call us back to the whirl of modern life. But that does not mean we are without any of the comforts of civilization.

Each cabin has hot and cold running water, an indoor bathroom, a gas stove for cooking, gas lights and even a propane-powered refrigerator. The cabins are rustic, but clean and airy. The luxuries at Forest Echo Farm are not inside the cabins; they are found in the light that fills the forest in late afternoon, the silence of an evening canoe ride and the moonlit sparkle of dewdrops at midnight. Forest Echo Farm includes an extensive shore to a 26 acre protected pond, numerous trails, and half a mountain top. We do get cell phone reception, so you can still make dinner reservations.

• Please note that there is no electricity or WiFi at any of the cabins. Everything is gas, wood, or hand powered. There is cell phone reception.

• Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, hot and cold running water, indoor bathroom, and overhead LP gas lamps.

• Bring your own bed linens, blankets, towels and food.

• No housekeeping, please leave a clean cabin for the next guests.

Cabins are available for rent from June through September.

Loved Forest echo farm! Such a peaceful cabin! I was initially scared when they said" off the grid" but i had no reason to fear! Hope we get to come back soon!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Linda (the owner) a message.

If Linda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
