Description

As a Carriage House, the bulk of the living arrangement is on the upper level. This level has a full kitchen, a dining room, a living room , a bedroom and a full bath. It also has a wood burning fireplace---wood supplied. Most of the furnishings including the kitchen cabinets, are made from local pine and birch. There are soapstone countertops and most small and all large appliance. The kitchen is fully stocked with most condiments, spices, pantry items, coffee, teas, breakfast items, pasta, rice, etc.---all you need bring are fresh ingredients. The lower level (ground level, not basement) houses another bedroom and bath, a mudroom and a full laundry. There is WiFi and satellite TV and a gas barbeque---gas supplied, on the patio.

Getting around

A vehicle is needed to traverse the area as well as getting to the property (there are many car rental units in Banff, and Jasper).

Interaction with guest

We realize some guests like their privacy so we leave it up to them to contact us for questions, information or problems. We are available anytime and live on the far side of the property. There is an information package available as well as directions to local hikes and activities. The door will be open after 3 pm on the your check-in date and the key will be on the bench as you enter.

House rules

No Events are permissible including any parties (graduation parties, pre and post wedding 'get-togethers' from camping weddings, re-unions, etc.). Strict 4 guest maximum unless cleared with owner. No overnight camping or motor homes. The signatory to the agreement must be the renter. Fireplace fires must be started only with kindling provided---no use of artificial accelerants. Children should be at least 2 years old unless cleared by the owner.

Why can't I call Carmen (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Carmen (the owner) a message.

If Carmen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
