Quaint stone holiday cottage (gîte) with views and close access to all Dordogne highlights. Totally self-catering. All famous sites within close proximity: prehistoric Lascaux, Lez Eyzies; chateaux Beynac, Castelnaud and Domme; and popular tourist town Sarlat (25 min). You are 3km from the peaceful Dordogne river (the popular lifeguarded beach of Coux is just down the hill), not to mention the surrounding Bergerac wine country. You can reach several popular grottos (caves) from the gîte between 10 and 30 minutes driving, full of history and/or mineral formations. Set in the peaceful countryside above the market town of Saint Cyprien (5km), this charming hamlet house offers an abundance of tranquility and simplicity. It is part of an ancient hamlet that has been lovingly maintained so it doesn't feel isolated and lonely, but at the same time, you will feel very private and quiet. There are birds always singing, ample green space around the gîte for kids to play, footpaths for promenades, and two delightful, south-facing terraces for dining al fresco during the long Dordogne summer days or coffee in the morning. Since 2013 we have installed a new, fully-equipped kitchen, remodeled the bathroom and terrace, installed stone flooring, painted the shutters a romantic white, and added lots of cozy touches. In 2017, we have converted the attic to a trendy loft space that has been decorated in an urban style. In the loft, there are two skylights, making it bright and airy. The entire property is "one with nature", offering comfort and relaxation, affording you a special meditative quality that we all seek during our holidays, but with excellent proximity to the touristic sites.

Please be informed: Changeover days are preferred Friday or Sunday (Saturday is possible). This property is completely self-catering. The owners are not on the premises but of course available 24/7. A caretaker is just near the house and available in the case of problems. Please know that there is only one toilet (WC) and one shower room, both of which are downstairs from the bedrooms, which means you must be careful in the night! If you are maximum occupancy with 8 people, the single toilette and shower might be insufficient. The loft space is ideal if a guest should visit for one or two nights. We put the price for a single-family type of rental for that reason. We want you to be comfortable! Please ask if you have some questions!

Owners are available around the clock, and before your trip we love to help you plan your stay: where to roam, what not to miss, and some insights you may not know from the tourist guides. Each guest has a different objective for their vacation--either hiking, gastronomy, historical tours, fishing or kayaking--we enjoy getting to know you and helping you get the most out of your trip. We have been coming to the Dordogne ourselves each year for over 10 years and we are still discovering many hidden treasures. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Deborah (the owner) a message.

If Deborah (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
