Old Moms' Lodge is situated not far from the lake in the small and picturesque village of Mrzla Vodica in Gorski Kotar, on a hiking path just at the base of Mt Risnjak, one of Croatia’s seven national parks.

The Lodge is surrounded by untarnished nature: with birch trees, a stream, small lake, a stunning view of the mountain, and plenty of peace and quiet.

It is located a mere 800 m from the main local road.

You can spend the night in one of several pyramid-shaped huts, each one capable of hosting up to 10 individuals. The utilities such as toilets and showers are available in a separate cottage, while the electricity for charging your phones and tablets is provided by solar panels on site.

We recommend you bring your own sleeping bags, but it is possible to additionally rent sheets and blankets if you should require.

An open area with an overhead has 4 wooden tables, which can accommodate up to 30 people and the property has additional tables which can be used for comfortable dining. Guests also have the option of using the stove and grill area should they wish to prepare their own food. Old Moms’ Lodge can accommodate up to 20 nature lovers and it is suitable for individuals or groups. It is also possible to arrange for daily meals. All meals are prepared from locally grown, seasonal produce. Homemade bread is served for breakfast accompanied with honey from the neighboring bee farm. Cheese, eggs, jam and Old Moms’ Tea are also on the menu, along with homemade juice of elderberry and medicinal herbs.
