3 storied Holiday home in the lap of nature with straight views to the snow-capped Indian Himalayan ranges.

The House:

The property has 3 bedrooms with double beds and one window bed sufficient for kids and ensuite bathrooms, 2 large living rooms, one with an open kitchen and one with a common bathroom and readers nook.

2 large balconies with panoramic views of the valley and the snowcapped mountains. We also have a store and attached bathroom with sleeping space for service staff like drivers maids etc.

The building was built keeping local architecture and weather conditions in mind. Walls have mud plaster to provide insulation during the cold sub 0'C winters and tweed woollen curtains for the same. There is a working fireplace and wooden flooring to keep the house warm.

We have used the local slate stone on the fireplace, dining table etc to keep the earthy and local experience of the area.

Food:

We serve food freshly prepared with local ingredients from the fields below, sourced from local farmers. Our caretaker Vijay will prepare local favourites like Madue ki roti or Black beans dal or Hemp Cutney even. You can ask him for the local favourites and he will oblige. Besides this he is well trained to cook anything of your choice as long as it is simple home-cooked meals.

For international flavours there are multiple cafes around the property with-in a 10-20mins vicinity like Birds Cage, Chandi Maati, Gehena Cafe etc.

Things to do

This is a place escape and relax. Come and stay with us if you want to disconnect from the mundane and connect with nature. Plenty of hikes starting right from our door into the fields down below of the Deodar/Oak forest right behind us. A hike into the deodar forests

You can also drive us to the Mukteshwar Maharaj temple and hike up to Chauli ki Jhaali, the beautiful cliff face with a 400ft drop and beautiful panoramic views of the valley.

You can also drive down to the Dhaari village and hike up to the Dhaari waterfall and in the summer take a dip in the pristine waters, a little chilly, but well worth it. If you go outside of the tourist season (May-June) you might be the only people there and the perfect time to enjoy this place.

Within a 1-1.5 hours drive you can also visit Nainital, Bhimtal, Naukuchitatal lakes to enjoy water sports, boating, local cuisine etc. Other famous destinations nearby are Sitla, Ranikhet, Binsar, Almora etc all with 2-4 hours driving.

For amenities, food and everyday needs there are shops about 1 kms on the main road and there is also Bhatelia market the local shopping area about 2 kms away where you can get all your daily needs at Karan bhai's shop.

You will be hosted by my caretake Vijay and his team. He is a local chap that lives in the village nearby, about 15mins walking. He will be there to serve you from morning 08:00-08:30 till 20:00. For anything that he cannot help you with I will be available on call always. We will also provide a local guide on WhatsApp and email when you book which should be enough information to make the best of your time there.

    If Udit (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
