From the owner

The Lavender Gite is at right angle to the farmhouse, and part of a beautifully renovated stone barn with exposed timbers throughout. It has 3 bedrooms and can sleep 5 people.

The ground floor is open plan with a lounge and dining area, with a leather suite and dining table and chairs. The corner kitchen has just been refitted and has a electric cooker and gashob, a fridge and a microwave oven.

Up the oak spiral staircase there are three bedrooms: on the first floor a double-bedded room, a single bedroom and the shower room with wash hand basin and toilet. Up the next set of stairs is a beamed twin bedded bedroom.

Unfortunately things happen like tables breaking due to a storm. Such things are out of our hands. This was rectified and cleared the same day. The guest had use of another table. We are sorry that the mowing of lawns has upset the guest but it has to be done. We have always shut the pool at 7 as do many other places for quite time for our guests. All our old videos are in boxes. If guests allow children to go through private property then this cannot be helped. The barn does have a hole in the roof but will be repaired out of season and its certainly not dangerous. Please note this is from a guest who left the property in such a state it took 3 hours to clean.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Jo and Andy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
