Escape from the hustle and hassle of your everyday routine and come away to the Lilac Cottage where a serene world awaits you. Throw off all your worries and slip into the scenic, relaxed atmosphere and be rejuvenated.

Lilac Cottage is located 15 minutes short of Mussoorie Mall Road and is built around the palace of the King of Nepal. An ideal location for a family, the complex has a Table Tennis Table, a Card Room and a Cricket/Football ground. A fully functional mess serves home-cooked food.

The space

The cottage is split into two levels, with the living room, dining and kitchen on the ground floor and two bedrooms with attached washrooms and balconies on the second floor.

Living Room

The full-width glass window overlooking the mountains and wooden flooring make the living room a cosy nook to hang out at. On top of the console is a television with a cable connection. The sofa transforms into a sofa bed and sleeps two adults.

Bedrooms

There are two bedrooms on the first floor, both with attached bathrooms. The queen size beds have semi-soft mattresses and cushions for a restful night’s sleep. Both rooms lead to a common balcony overlooking the mountains.

Dining

The dining area, located on the ground floor is adjacent to the kitchen and living room. The dining table seats six people.

Kitchen

The open kitchen leading to the dining room has a stove, washing area, kettle, toaster, microwave, mixer and a refrigerator. All cooking essentials including pans, utensils, cutlery, crockery and a few spices are also stored in the cabinets.

Bathrooms

There is one bathroom on the ground floor and two bathrooms attached to both the bedrooms on the first floor. All bathrooms are equipped with geysers for hot water. Essentials like soap, toilet paper and a jet have been included.

Outdoor Patio

The highlight of the cottage is the backyard, overlooking the mountain range. It has comfortable seating, a bonfire pit for winter nights and a barbeque, in case you’re in the mood for grilling.

Guest access

Lilac Cottage is situated in a gated and guarded complex of 52 cottages in Jharipani, Mussoorie. Guests have access to a Temple, Table Tennis Table, card room, and common grounds where they can join the local kids for a game of cricket or football.

There is one car parking spot adjoining the cottage. Additional cars can be parked at a distance of 50 steps in the common parking area.

Other things to note

- Guests are earnestly requested to treat the home with care.

- Loud music is not allowed post 10 pm outdoors. However, there are no time restrictions in playing music indoors.

- Alcohol consumption is allowed.

- Smoking is allowed only outdoors and in the balcony.

- Any damage to the property caused by the guest will be charged as per the actual cost of repair or replacement.

- Any illegal activity including but not limited to the use of narcotics is strictly not permitted.

- Any commercial activity is strictly not permitted.

- Decorations are not allowed for parties

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Aditya (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
