Emerald Trail is a unique home-stay cum farm-stay retreat in the hills of Kumaon in Uttarakhand, North India in the quiet village of Jungaliya Gaon 9 kms uphill Bhimtal

Spread over 3 acres of lush greens with the valley on one side and heavily wooded forest on the other, Emerald Trail estate consists of a quaint bungalow which houses 4 large rooms with attached bath, a common dining cum lounge area and a cozy living area surrounded by the farmland, gardens and play areas that guests are free to access and use.

A single unit made of local stone adding to the local village flavor is also available for families.

You get a chance to be at one with nature while sampling all the comforts of home amidst sheer peace & solitude with the promise of personal attention and impeccable service from the hospitable staff.

Experience day to day farming where you have a change to pick the veges of your choice grown organically in our greenhouse and our farms. Enjoy all the unadulterated food and fresh air in this true farm-stay retreat. Indulge in mountain biking or paragliding if you are the adventurous sort. Boating and kayaking in the nearby lakes is a must.

Emerald Trail is also a eco-friendly retreat. 5kw Solar plant for electricity back-ups, solar water heaters, rain water catchment areas, organic farming which includes milk from the domestic cows, vegetables and pulses from the fields are a few initiatives for a true green living.

Pets are welcome too. We make arrangements for their meals and their bedding at no additional cost.

" Beware of tricks by competitors .." Ever since Tripadviosr was declared ' Number One B&B' on the basis of guest reviews , we have been facing a lot of backlash from competition . It is really hurting them . They have been trying to send guests to stay at the property so that they can write bad review and tarnish Emerald Trail's reputation . We try our best to screen such guests , unfortunately this one got through . Also , Flipkey does not allow the owners the opportunity to respond before the post is uploaded . It allows only after the post . I guess it is a small price to pay for the success Emerald Trail has achieved in such a short time .

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sumith (the owner) a message.

If Sumith (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
