From the owner

L’Olivier is a light-filled village house which has recently been modernised to provide welcoming spaces inside and out and has a 4* official classifcation. There remain exposed beams and quirky details. Unusually for a village house we have two lovely outside spaces; a large south facing terrace with dining table and great views and a sunny but more protected courtyard, in which lives our "Olivier", a BBQ and another dining area.

The accommodation comprises two bedrooms, one with a 160 x 200cm king and the other with two 90x200cm singles, which can be configured several ways, including the creation of another king. Both are south facing to the rear and have views to the distant hills. There is a modern shower room/WC adjacent to the bedrooms. There is also a convertible sofa-bed on the landing for occasional use

The kitchen/living/dining area is open plan, has a very fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, freezer, dishwasher, microwave etc. The dining table seats six and there is a wood-burning stove for the late Autumn/early Spring evenings when nights can still be chilly. This light filled room opens onto the terrace, where there is a further dining table.

On the ground floor is a large garage/cave which is normally available to guests as long as pre-booked. There is also a laundry area with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside is our courtyard with easy chairs, lounger, dining table and chairs as well as a gas BBQ.

House rules

We think our house is ideal for couples looking for a tranquil oasis from which to enjoy and explore the Languedoc. Whilst we have indicated it is not suitable for kids this relates more to the sort of holidays people come to Neffies for rather than the specifics of the house, but bear in mind if you have small children there are stairs up from the street, to the bedrooms and down to the cave.
Please note that, as in many old houses, garage entry and exit requires care and use is at your risk.

Re the garage I just wanted to say that it normally easily accomodates an Audi A6 estate, quite big, and we have also had guests with Mercedies SUV's using it without problems.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send David and Brenda (the owner) a message.

If David and Brenda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
