From the owner

La Boheme de Marigny, is a historic Creole Cottage in the heart of the Marigny triangle of New Orleans. This is location, location, location at its very best.

The Back House and Cottage are a short walk from the French Quarter and one block from the fabled Frenchman Street. It is located in a quiet, leafy and historic residential neighborhood.

The Creole Cottage is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom cottage with completely separate living spaces and entrances. It was built in the early 1800's and retains many of the old world charms (for some) of the original construction: Beadboard ceilings, barge wood walls and a brick between post exterior.

The Voodoo suite features a full kitchen, living room, bedroom and full bath. The Voodoo has a queen bed, daybed and trundle, sleeping 3 comfortably, with one person on the daybed or trundle.

The Jazz suite has an eat-in kitchen, bedroom with queen bed and private bath. The Bordello room has a comfy queen and private bath with a desk.

All rooms have room-controlled quiet cooling and heating, cable television, free wi-fi, full use of the patio, as well as complimentary use of the laundry room and filtered water cooler. Two of the rooms have full kitchens. The smaller room has a coffee and tea maker as well as a mini-fridge.

The Back House is on the same lot as the cottage and behind the same security gate. The Back House is a gracious but humble, two story family style home built in the late 1920s, with heart of pine flooring throughout the house. Both bedrooms are upstairs and have a small balcony. The kitchen is brand new and beautiful! The large dining table can accommodate 6 comfortably. The house has central air, cable, wifi and a desktop, printer and scanner for your use. The house is unusually quiet and private given that it is off the street. The additional photos for the Back House are found -- right after the Halloween guests. Please email or call for rates to rent the whole property.

One residential street parking pass is available at no charge for on-street parking. Ample parking is located near the property.

Pets must be pre-approved and there is a non-refundable dander cleaning fee of $200. This is a smoke-free property and there is no smoking in the cottage or back house Guests may smoke in the patio area (although wish not-too-secretly) that they would not.
Please note before booking that there is a four day minimum for all major holidays and festivals including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, French Quarter Fest, Jazz Fest, Essence and Decadence.

Why can't I call Dayna (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Dayna (the owner) a message.

If Dayna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
