This flat is ideal for couples or small families, with one double bed in the bedroom and one double sofa bed in the living room.

If you feel like relaxing, you can find everything you need without leaving the apartment complex: swimming pool, stunning view, quiet garden.

Some excellent restaurants and shops can be found at a walking distance. If you feel more energetic and adventurous, Nice and its surroundings will provide you with numerous activities, its beaches being only one of them!

“Great view, but a few compromises”

We stayed at no 307 Le Baccarat apartment for 1 week during August this year. We knew the apartment was a little bit out of the centre and were quite happy to accept a walk into Nice - the hill is gradual and to be honest isn't too much of an issue. The walk into Nice itself though is quite long, and after doing it twice a day - to the beach, and then out for food - it can become quite tiring (Takes about 20mins to get into the Old Town) On arrival we were met by a french lady, who gave us the keys etc, she was very nice, although it soon became very confusing as I am ashamed to say I don't speak any French, and she does not speak any English at all! There we were faced with 'caution' costs - basically a deposit of 300 euros and a fee of 40 euros for cleaning, once we have left. Bit of a shock when you first arrive! The aparment itself was nice, modern and well equipped with cooking equipment etc. It was small and more like a studio and there was little space for your stuff, and all kitchen cupboards were full with kitchen/ cleaning equipment, so there was literally knowwhere to place any of the food you bought from the local supermarket. Another small issue was there was no bedding or towels, which suprised us (especially the beddinng) and therefore spent the week sleeping on top of an unmade duvet. We bought towels. That aside, the view from the balcony was excellent and is one good thing about being a little bit further out of the centre. The apartment was quiet and secure. We did not use the pool in the end, but it was popular with other guests and residents. There were also a good selection of restaurants/ bars at the bottom of the hill, near the port. The building itself can initally put you off - the corridors a little bit worn and tired, but the room was clean and well looked after. The car park was secure and we were happy to leave our car for the week without worrying about it. The spaces are small, as seems to be the way in France! Overall, we enjoyed our stay, although were tired of the walk etc by the end of the hols.

Le Baccarat was a lovely apartment block . Unfortunately the particular apartment we stayed in was quite shabby and poorly equipped. No toaster or hairdryer as mentioned in the ad. no beer or wine glasses and a mish mash of other bits and pieces. We saw inside some of the other apartments and they were much nicer. Having said that, we didn't spend much time in the apartment. I also think the owner should also mention how steep the hill is as someone in a wheelchair would really struggle. The area was lovely, it was close to all amenities and the pool was excellent as was Brigitte the on-site caretaker.
