The House at Longbeach lies on the foothills of the famous Chapman's Peak. Yet it's a mere two minutes stroll from the white sands of Noordhoek Beach and it's only a few minutes away from various shops and fine restaurants. House at Longbeach offers views of both the sea and the mountains and of the adjacent nature reserve.

House at Longbeach possesses a unique atmosphere in that it combines traditional elements of a farmhouse with the cosy characteristics of a beach house. Its high ceilings and numerous windows and glass doors lend it a bright and spacious ambience. The leather couches, the hard wood floors and the wood burning stove give it a down home feel.

On the over 50m² of balcony you can have breakfast at sunrise, you can relax on the loungers during the day and enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sunset behind the sea. From the balcony you access the 1000m² indigenous garden with succulents, proteas and a large fish pond, a solar heated swimming pool, a barbecue site or a playground.

Both of the bedrooms offer access to the large balconies, great views and extra long beds, high quality mattresses and linen and spacious built-in cupboards. In addition to that you can fall asleep to the sounds of the oceans or the whales.

The west-facing bedroom 'Atlantic' has a kingsize bed and a dressing table, the south-facing bedroom 'Kakapo' features a twin bed which can be converted into two single beds. A fifth person could sleep on the daybed of our large couch. The bathroom is fully equipped and offers a shower and a bath.

The living room features leather sofas with a daybed, satellite TV, DVD and Stereo as well as a wood burning stove for colder winter days. At the dining room table up to 6 people can enjoy the meals prepared in the large kitchen which features marble countertops, two ovens and anything else you need to prepare a dinner to remember.

Located in the heart of the Cape Peninsula and just 25 minutes from Cape Town city centre, House at Longbeach offers a perfect combination of easy access to all the Western Cape attractions, with a tranquil rural atmosphere. Noordhoek attracts especially those in touch with nature. Noordhoek's 8 km beach is the longest stretch of pure white sand in the whole peninsula. Indigenous Cape Fynbos cover the slopes of surrounding mountains and stretch down to the coastal plain, the wetlands area and our gardens.

Noordhoek offers plenty of wide open spaces, wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Despite its country atmosphere, Noordhoek has a lot to offer, including restaurants, a shopping mall, horse-riding, whale watching, hiking trails, surfing, kiting, bird-watching, plus nearby four golf courses, camel rides and a penguin colony. The main attractions of the Cape like the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, Constantia Winelands are all within a few minutes drive.

Thanks a lot for this review. We're happy that our guests liked our apartment although they had an issue with the extra charge. We would like to clarify that we don’t charge extra for the second bedroom. Our prices are valid for the whole apartment and garden with pool depending on the season and the number of guests. This is stated clearly on all websites, booking platforms, booking forms and booking confirmations. Our guests booked the apartment for 2 adults, but a third person was staying with them for a couple of nights which was the reason for the extra charge. We explained this to them, but unfortunately they were not willing to discuss this topic or even to check their booking confirmation. Our house is less than 300 meters in distance to 6 km long Noordhoek Beach. Depending on the direction of the wind and the height of the waves the sound can be moderate or louder. Our objective is always to have our guests happy and we feel sorry that we didn't managed it this time. We wish our guests all the best for their future stays. Antje & Thomas

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Antje (the owner) a message.

If Antje (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
