A traditional thatched cottage, on a private dyke just by the River Bure in Horning Norfolk.Our cottage is a delightful bungalow on the banks of the River Bure. It is surrounded by countryside and enjoys a 100' (30m) river frontage, making it perfect for fisherman and boaters, and for those who just want to watch the world float by. The property is accessed by private road.

Have just fitted a new kitchen _ new photos to follow

The property has a three double bedroom one with two single beds. There are wonderful views from all of these three rooms along the river and across the countryside to the front and rear. This area makes an ideal retreat for children and teenagers, where they can plug in their laptops and take advantage of free Wi-Fi. Outside there is commual garden, a patio table on the balcony with six chairs, and two Beanbag's that are huge and super comfy. .

The lounge is equipped with a 32inch flat screen TV and a selection of DVDs. There are also books, games and jigsaws for evenings and rainy days. There is a modern new kitchen with a view over the river. The lounge has comfortable chairs where you can sit in all weathers and watch the river, its wildlife and the passing boats. If you are very lucky you may spot otters and kingfishers.

Naturally there are plenty of opportunities for fishing and boating.

During your stay we have a local contact number in case of an emergency. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Gordon (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
