Marita’s Bed and Breakfast guest can experience the life of a Costa Rican. Within a short walk, Marita’s B&B guest can visit all Nuevo Arenal public facilities and experience the life of a Costa Rican. Costa Rican restaurants, taverns, stores, churches, clinic, bank, and beautiful Lake Arenal, etc., are located nearby as shown on the location map, photo 4. Marita Villalobos, owner of Marita’s B&B, is a native Costa Rican. “Tica” Marita is married, has 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Marita purchased her home 40 years ago. She converted her Nuevo Arenal 2-bedroom home into a 4-bedroom traditional B&B. Three of the four bedrooms accommodates 10 persons. Marita’s B&B is a one level structure. Guest do not need to be concerned about climbing stairs, there are none. A terrace, overlooking the garden, is provided where guest can see and listen to the birds, sit, converse, and have breakfast. The terrace is open day and night, even while it rains. Marita serves a free delicious Costa Rican breakfast at her B&B. For emergency escape, two private access doors are provided in each bedroom. Each bedroom is also provided with a private family style bath. A private locked parking area is provided. From this location, guest can place luggage directly into their bedroom. A fire extinguisher and a smoke detector are provided in the kitchen area. Marita’s B&B is located adjacent to the German Bakery, and an Italian restaurant. Marita’s B&B is also a 10-minute walk to beautiful Lake Arenal Park. Sun-bathing, BBQ, and picnics takes place in Lake Arenal Park. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, Jet Ski activity takes place in the lake. Sanitary facilities and vehicle access roads are provide in the park. For those using public transportation, a bus stop that connects Nuevo Arenal to San Jose, Liberia, San Carlos, and La Fortuna is located 10 meters from Marita’s B&B. Marita and Alberto, her husband, live at Marita’s B&B.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Marita/alberto (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
