Overlooking the mountains, Glenesk Bungalow is perfect for a peaceful getaway. Just 20 minutes from Nuwara Eliya town this charming bungalow is close to a century old and offers great views and extensive gardens. Whether you want to put your feet up by the fireplace with a book or a board game, or to discover waterfalls and the famous Horton Plains, there's plenty to enjoy during your stay with us.

Rented to each party on an exclusive basis, this spacious four bedroomed bungalow accommodates up to 9 people. Guests can relax in the 1920s-built bungalow, which comes complete with its original antique furnishings and even a magazine collection dating back to the 30s. Alternatively, guests can enjoy the grounds, whether that means playing badminton on the lower lawn, relaxing by the twin ponds or simply stopping to smell the roses.

Breakfast is included for all visitors to Glenesk Bungalow, and the homemade jams in particular have proved popular with guests. Other meals can be ordered on request and are made using largely home-grown or locally sourced produce.

Close to Hakgala Gardens, Horton Plains and Ambewela Farm, as well as Nuwara Eliya town, Glenesk Bungalow is an ideal retreat for guests looking for a little privacy or for those hoping to explore the area.

    How do damage deposits work?

    If Glenesk (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
