From the owner

Casa Carola is an old stone house which has been completely refurbished and decorated using furnishings which have been in our family for over two generations. It has a garden and a lookout with spectacular views over the Atlantic and the monastery of Oia.

Casa Carola is named after our great-grandmother, Carola, former owner of the cottage back when it was built in 1900. The refurbishment works were finished in 2015. We respected the original stone walls and used furnishings which have been in the family for over two generations.

Part of the furniture was made by our great-grandfather, a carpenter. The marine furnishings belonged to our grandfather, who was a sailor.

The same sea that he navigated can be seen from Casa Carola, from its privileged location at the top of the historical town of Oia.

Guest Access

The main building of the cottage sleeps eight people and has four rooms (two rooms with double beds and two rooms with two single beds) and three bathrooms.

The kitchen and dining area is in a separate building, facing the sea. It is fully equipped for preparing and enjoying meals with family and friends.

The cottage has two garden areas with sea views. It also has a wonderful private lookout at the back of the property with spectacular views over the Atlantc and Oia monastery. A perfect spot to watch the amazing sunsets that can be enjoyed every evening at Casa Carola.

Why can't I call Tomasa (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Tomasa (the owner) a message.

If Tomasa (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
