Overview

Quinta Por Do Sol is located in Albufeira within a short walk to the beach, bars, restaurants, cafes and nightlife. This large villa is ideal for families or large groups that are looking for a quiet setting with excellent entertainment space.

This 15 bedroom villa is newly built with new bathrooms, and all furniture is new to comfortably accommodate up to 36 guests

This is the ideal spot if you wish to relax and enjoy the sun. Being situated on a large plot, there is plenty of room inside and outside for large groups to get the very best out of their holiday.

All bedrooms are air conditioned.

Two large supermarkets are located nearby, both a 5 minute walk from the villa. A beautiful beach is approximately 10 minutes walk away. If you want to venture into Albufeira town to either the Strip or the Old town, both are within easy reach to get to.

If you wish to go to the Strip, Quinta Por Do Sol is approximately a 15 minute walk away. There is also a taxi rank located nearby. It is approximately a 5 minute taxi ride (approximately €5 for 4 people each way for standard taxi). Regular bus service.

Beautiful Modern Spacious Interior

The villa is fitted with alarms and electric shutters which can be closed independently or through a switch by the front door to close / open all shutters.

Entering the airy hallway, Bedrooms 1 and 2 are on the left. Bedrooms 3, 4, 5 and 6 are straight ahead, with the staircase to the lower ground floor and 1st floor to the right and the open plan kitchen / dining / living room to the right overlooking the pool, garden and BBQ area.

The 1st floor has 4 bedrooms (7, 8, 9 and 10) with a large terraces & balconies overlooking the pool and garden.

The lower ground floor hosts the Games room with Pool Table & Table Tennis & a further five bedrooms (11,12,13,14 & 15)

The bedrooms are configured as follows:

Bedroom 1: Located on the ground floor with a door that connects to Bedroom 2 where they share a large bathroom. We have created this to be flexible. It means Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2 can be completely independent from one another, or if guests prefer it, it can be created to make a suite ideal for families with children. This bedroom has twin beds, with fitted sliding wardrobes.

Bedroom 2: Located on the Ground floor beside bedroom 1. This bedroom has Twin beds, fitted wardrobes.

Bedroom 3: Located on the Ground floor with en-suite shower facilities and Twin beds, fitted wardrobes.

Bedroom 4: Located on the Ground floor with en-suite shower facilities a Double bed, and a single bed with a large wardrobe.

Bedroom 5: Located on the Ground floor with en-suite shower facilities, Double bed, where we can place an additional single bed upon request.

Bedroom 6: Located on the Ground floor with en-suite shower facilities, Twin beds, fitted wardrobe .

Bedroom 7: (Main bedroom) : Located on the 1st floor with large terrace, en-suite shower facilities, large dressing room wardrobe area, Double bed and 2 single beds.

All bedrooms and bathrooms are tiled with porcelain tiles. The hallways and staircase are tiled with a marble travertine tile.

The kitchen is a modern, matt white area with flush units. Integrated appliances, 2 fridge freezers, wide oven and electric hob. White stone worktop.

Dining space in kitchen for six guests and in this area there is a beautiful rustic pine dining suite which can seat many guests.

Spacious open plan living area featuring contemporary sofas & coffee tables. Large TV with digital channels.

Outside dining space in the BBQ area can seat large parties comfortably in view of the large swimming pool area & garden.

The large swimming pool can be heated upon request at an additional charge.

“Rising damp a big problem.”

There was 26 family and friends that stayed in the villa for a 2-week holiday. The bedroom’s upstairs were very nice except for small problems such as doors not closing properly and the odd A/C not working. However, if you were unlucky enough to sleep in one of the 5 bedrooms in the basement your holiday experience would be completely different to the group staying upstairs. The rooms were damp with mold covering parts of the external walls and no ventilation or extractor fans in the bathrooms were installed. The whole basement had a terrible smell and the management team were unhelpful to any of our concerns and no remedy was forthcoming such as a de-humidifier. 2 of the basement group got sick and had to sleep on the sofas in the lounge. The maid service failed to turn up on the designated day and the clothes washing facilities are almost non-existent – one maiden for a house of people is not enough. Other than that we all had a good holiday in the villa after getting used to the road noise next to the pool. The window shutters are a great idea but as a house got robbed just up the road they are probably a necessity. Nearby bars and beaches are exactly what you would expect in this sort of holiday resort. For the reasons stated above and the lack of response from the whole team means I am giving a generous 2 stars.

“Disappointed”

Stayed downstairs at the accommodation along side 4 other rooms so 5 in total. There was a significant problem with damp and humidity in my room and 2 others downstairs- damp on wall was terrible and they had only painted over it and hoped we wouldn't notice. I was forced to stay upstairs in the lounge for 3 nights as I became ill. We explained the situation to Miguel but nothing was done excuses and answers for all our problems but NOTHING was done and no compensation given. If your only staying upstairs the place is decent but if you are having people downstairs as well I would recommend you go elsewhere. Hundreds of euros for two weeks and the conditions were not up to scratch. Won't be going back to this property.

“Much anticipated vacation disappoints!”

This was the third such family/friend reunion that I had organized and all 26 of us were so excited to get to Quinto Por Do Sol to start our much anticipated vacation. I had dealt with Jim over the last year and a half and I must say that he was so easy to get in touch with and he always replied immediately with an answer to any and all of my concerns/questions. Upon arrival, although I was early and just dropping off my luggage, Miguel was courteous and working alongside his team to get the villa ready for our visit. They were late in turning over the villa to us, by more than an hour, but we were accepting of this because of the size of the villa. Perhaps a solution to this problem would be to set the check out time an hour or so earlier. As I said our group was large and we occupied all 15 rooms. We only had one child so all the rooms were occupied by adults. Had we only had to use the ground and first floor rooms, there would have been only one problem, but the lower ground floor was where all the headaches were. There was a distinct odor of mold/damp down there. I believe that Miguel know of this because on the day we took possession of the house, they were downstairs scraping the flaking walls and repainting. At the time we did not pay any attention to this, but as the first week wore on it became apparent that there were problems. If the big doors were open, the odor disappeared, but once the door was closed you could smell the damp all the way up to the ground floor. We reported it to Miguel, asked for a dehumidifier for one of our guests who got ill, but none was provided and in fact Miguel was not very polite to the person asking. When finally I wrote yet another strong email to Jim, and this only at the end of our second week, did Jim arrange for Miguel and building experts to come in to inspect the basement. I believe they did find problems, but none that they would admit to us. By this time we had a second person ill who had slept down there. So I would recommend that if you need to occupy all 15 bedrooms then this villa might not be for you. The other major problem we had was that from Day 1, the air condition in one of the ground floor rooms was not working. I reported it immediately and Miguel said that someone would be around in 40 minutes to look at it. No one came until Monday, 3 days later, and then it was the maintenance person for the villas, and not a technician. He determined that the air condition was indeed not working, but being late no one could come out until the following day. So now we were up to 4 days and still the air condition was not replaced until day 5. When I mentioned compensation for both that room as the occupants finally went to a hotel the last night in disgust, and compensation for the moldy lower floor, I was ignored. Another annoyance was the safe being shut when we tried to use it and no directions on how to open the safe. As a result, we are not sure, but our passports went missing along with some cash, and we don't know if we were robbed. But we do know that we tried to put our valuables in the safe, but were unable to. The remainder of the villa was well furnished and comfortable, although some bathrooms did not have windows and were always damp because of lack of ventilation, and showers where the water got everywhere. All in all I would say that if we had not had to use the lower ground floor I would have given a much better review. I never even went downstairs until everyone using those rooms began to complain about the damp feel of the sheets etc. I would have overlooked the door handles that did not work or swollen doors that could not shut. Those were minor inconveniences. But to be ignored and told that there were no problems when there obviously were, was annoying and plus having to field all the complaints from our party because I was the organizer, spoilt my vacation. Again I must reiterate that Jim was always courteous even when receiving my complaints, but his hands are obviously tied as he does not own the villa.

We travelled as a group of 26 for a hen party! The place is huge, well equipped and spotless! Miguel the property manager was very helpful also. The villa has such a relaxed vibe, the swimming area was perfect and again very clean. I cannot recommend this villa enough, and no doubt will visit it again in the future!
