La Venta del Celemín is a special place. Following the local tradition, it is the home of the hermit caretaker, who welcomed Don Quixote and Sancho Panza after the adventure of the cave of Montesinos, as reported in chapter XXIV of the second part of the world-renowned novel:
«Along with the chapel he has a house, which he built at his own expense; but yet, though small, its is big enough to receive guests.»
According to other sources, this is the location where takes place the adventure of the altarpiece of Maese Pedro. Besides literary evocations, Venta del Celemín is a beautiful old building of La Mancha (Central Spain), which contains all the architectural features of the regional style, where the immaculate whitewashed walls combine with the locally typical light indigo colour.
The house has been carefully restored to preserve all its ancient features beins an essential part of its personality. Its juniper wooden beamed ceilings host a furnished and decorated quixotic background which reaffirm its uniqueness when it comes to enjoy the stay in the house.
Venta del Celemín includes 8 bedrooms. The 800m2 garden contains a seasonal outdoor pool.
