As part of a group of typical Salento houses, this dwelling – renovated by a famous local architect in 2004 – is reachable through the picturesque narrow streets of the historic centre of Otranto, in a peaceful pedestrian area. Its three terraces overlook the whole surrounding landscape, from the harbour to the castle and from the tower (Torre del Serpente) to the Romanesque basilica.
Lying on the hammock or the soft seats in one of the terraces, you can easily go into another world, ravished by the sweet smell of the sea and the heat of the sun.
The house has got three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two kitchens – inside and outside, a barbecue and three terraces completely furnished for relaxation and to meet your friends.
The house is comfortable and spacious and spread over two levels connected by a glass lift.
On the first floor there is a living room at the entrance, an internal kitchen, a wide bathroom and two bedrooms: the first one is a double room with a big wardrobe and a bed whose head is a window facing east; the second one is a twin bedroom with a wardrobe and a set of bunk beds. There is also a sofa bed – a double one – in both the living room and the kitchen.
On the second floor there is a bathroom and a single bedroom with a wardrobe.
The furniture has been made of stone and wood by local craftsmen under the supervision of a famous architect.
