Ovacik is a quiet village with a beautiful mountain back drop. It gradually leads into Hisaronu, a more lively resort with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. 3km along to the end of the road is Oludeniz, the beach destination that probably caught your eye. The most photographed beach in Turkey shelters the blue lagoon so both make for a holiday in paradise. The much larger historic city of Fethiye is 5km in the other direction.
There's something for everyone here whether on land, in water or up in the air. if you've never been horse riding, a hack through the abandoned ghost town of Kayakoy makes for an interesting twist. If you can bare the white knuckle minibus ride to the top of Mount Babadag, you're sure to enjoy the paragliding experience as you soar in the blue sky for 45 minutes before landing on the beach.
