This is a lovely 5 bedroom Umbria holiday villa, surrounded by olive groves and and situated on the Umbria and Tuscany border making it an ideal base to explore both regions of Italy. The house originally dates back to the nineteenth century, but has been lovingly restored by the owners and furnished with pieces collected on their travels around the globe as well as various family treasures.
Inside, the main house at this Umbria holiday villa measures approximately 300 square metres and boasts four good sized bedrooms and four bathrooms. There are also two relaxing living spaces, a library with plentiful array of books, a separate dining room and a well equipped kitchen.
The fifth bedroom at this Umbria holiday villa is located in a separate building within the grounds of the estate and is just a few metres from the main house. This bedroom also has its own bathroom.
As you enter the main house, you come into the dining area. This has a large dining table seating up to ten guests. A cupboard holds plenty of crockery and glassware. To one side of the dining room is the kitchen whilst a step at the other side leads to a cosy living area with comfortable sofas, well-stocked bookshelves and an array of vinyl records to enjoy listening to. There is also a corner fireplace for those staying in the colder Winter months. Also on this floor is a spacious master bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. There is also a second bathroom on this floor with bath tub, perfect for those staying with younger children. This bathroom is also fitted with a washing machine.
Upstairs, there are three additional bedrooms at this Umbria holiday villa. Two of these rooms share an adjacent bathroom whilst the remaining bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with shower. The fourth bedroom can be made up as either a twin or double bedroom and, in fact, for larger families, there is also a sofa bed in here allowing the room to sleep up to three people if required.
Also on this floor is a second smaller living area. This is equipped with large TV with SKY satellite channels and is a great den for teenagers to relax in. This room also has doors leading directly to the outside of the property.
All the bedrooms have air conditioning units. However, this is a property which stays cool even during the hot Summer months and, since the windows have been fitted with a special thermal glass that will keep out the heat if closed, you may find you don't even need to use the air conditioning at all. The option is there if you need it!
Outside there is a good sized private garden measuring 4000 square metres in total. This is planted with numerous fruit and olive trees, grasses and herbs which in the Spring and Summer months fill the air with their delightful aroma. Rows of purple lavender line the path leading to the eco infinity swimming pool. From here, guests are treated to stunning views in all directions. This is also an area where you can enjoy some dramatic sunsets each evening.
There is a BBQ at this Umbria holiday villa for those who like to cook outdoors, whilst there is also covered loggia with wooden dining table and chairs providing the perfect setting for a dinner al fresco.
