- With lovely harbour views and perfectly positioned in the heart of the old town of Padstow, 12 Strand Street is a spacious character cottage which has been recently refurbished to a very high standard The owners attention to detail makes this a very special place to stay.

- Keen cooks will enjoy cooking in the large interior designed kitchen which boasts a beautiful dining table and 8 dining chairs. Amazing harbour views from the kitchen.

- It offers a high standard of accommodation in an exceptional location. Originally two fisherman cottages it has been designed and styled with relaxation in mind. The large kitchen, modern cooking facilities and harbour view seating makes dining at home a pleasure.

- Fantastic restaurants, fresh locally caught fish, a short walk to all Rick Steins venues, for a more active holiday golf, sailing, water-skiing on your doorstep.

The property is high off the ground on harbour side and children should be supervised at all times, it is recommended that windows are not left open on harbour side of the property.

12 Strand Street is a large harbour front house, it offers a contemporary styled lounge with solid wood floors and a modern designer WHAM wood burner surrounded by LED mood lighting.

On the first floor the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and a TV, and has unrivalled harbour views. There is a further large single bedroom and a twin room.

The first floor bathroom has a Grohe power shower and is designed with mosaic tiles and chrome fittings.

On the second floor the property boasts a family room spanning the whole attic, themed in clapboard New England style walls and ceilings, brightly painted, fresh and light. This room offers a king bed, single bed, and en-suite shower room.

There is also a football table, tv, video and selection of games creating the perfect haven for children or adults.

Designer kitchen with fridge/freezer and wine fridge.

“Idyllic location.”

Our 4th stay at 12 strand Street.... lovely accommodation in 1 of our favourite places in Cornwall. Lovely view of the harbour from the spacious living room window, and if by some chance you do happen to have a problem.. a quick phone call to Kerry (the owner) and the problem is rectified. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to experience a stay in 1 of Cornwalls loveliest and most pictureresq harbour.

Excellent property perfect location in the heart of Padstow within walking distance of all necessities. Padstow is busy during the day with tourists but goes quieter towards evening and is very pleasant. The property is very spacious, beautifully furnished and well equipped.

“Absolutely wonderful”

Our stay at 12 Strand Street was absolutely wonderful. It looked lovely in the pictures and totally exceeded our expectations. The property itself was beautiful and a pleasure to stay in as well as being perfectly located in the heart of Padstow with all its lovely shops and cafe's. We were a party of eight of all ages from 14 to 78 including three teenagers. All of us enjoyed this family holiday so much - the property had enough room for everyone to have their own space but also big enough reception rooms to congrerate for meals and evenings in the gorgeous lounge overlooking the harbour. There is no end of things to do in the surrounding area, we hired bikes to do the Camel Trail to Wadebridge & Bodmin (fantastic), took a speed boat ride round the harbour, ate out at several of the local pubs and restaurants all of which we enjoyed (highlights included Prawn on the Lawn and The Custom House Pub - which was also a favourite for evening drinks). It was easy to get out & about either on foot for walks around the Padstow area or by short boat/car journeys and we visited Rock, The Eden Project and Tintagel, all well worth visiting and not far. The rest of the time we just chilled out in our lovely accomodation! We all have great memories of staying at 12 Strand Street and would not hesitate to come back again if we get the opportunity.

“Prime position, perfect for Padstow!”

We had a delightful holiday which was made such by our amazing accommodation 12 The Strand! Without doubt I would recommend this house to anybody wishing 5 star accommodation whilst in Padstow.

Very comfortable and well equipped property in an ideal location. We really enjoyed our stay and if we did not need ground floor sleeping for elderly parents would have returned. The only down side is parking which could be challenging during the peak season.

We stayed for three weeks in August. Wouldnt stay anywhere else - it catered for our every need! Had friends visit from all over the UK and they all commented on the lovely house, furnishings and location of this wonderful house. We had a range of child ages, all loved the upstairs attic room with harbour views, lovely light and airy feel and having their own ensuite - a huge bonus. The bed linen was fantastic and nice comfey beds. An amasing 'social' kitchen where you can watch the world go buy in the harbour - 10/10 for location! Had Tesco to home deliver three weeks of food and wine, great one to remember even though Tesco is just up the hill. Used parking on Denis Road (5 mins walk away). Got to meet Rick Stein in his champagne rooftop bar - def recommend going on a nice day and also met Dame Judy Dench. A must is to go crabbing with children and try the pitch and putt golf up the hill. Rock was beautiful we did many a trip - just remember the very high (and fast) tides so watch the timings for the ferry and where they dock. A holiday my family will definately remember and I will go back again .....

“A really relaxing stay in Padstow”

Having been to Cornwall many times this was our first stay in Padstow. I don't think we could have asked for much more. The cottage is bang in the centre of Padstow, everything is within walking distance. The cottage itself is very well appointed in a modern style, a lovely large kitchen and sitting room, very clean and a wood burner which made it very welcoming as we were slightly out of season. The only minor downside I can think of is the parking - but then it is in the middle of Padstow and not that far from the carparks. We were still able to load/unload the car right outside with no problem. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone, from couples to familys - it makes for such a relaxing time when you can just wander out and enjoy all that Padstow has to offer.

I know from experience once the car is parked up there is so much to enjoy and no need to get into the car again until you are leaving Padstow. The location of the property is amazing. “wonderful cottage in fabulous location - we wanted for nothing”

Situated right in the heart of Padstow with fabulous harbour views and a minute from the sea this a great place to stay if you are walking, on an epicurean holiday or just enjoying the seaside. It is literally no more than 5 minutes walk to four Stein establishments and Rojanos and No 6 plus a lovely drive to Watergate Bay for Jaimie Olivers 15. If you just want to chill with all facilities within a stride and no need to drive its perfect. We have used it for all of these The cottage itself is freshly refurbished, tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, has a wood burner for cosy evenings in and a better stocked kitchen than mine at home! it is quite contemporary so don't expect dark beams and low ceilings but it is light and airy and very comfortable. Have been several times now with different groups and always had a super time and found the accommodation consistent and good . Recommend: walking along the beach in the morning and back along the headland, breakfast on Rock at the Blue Tomato cafe, supper in with food from Steins deli, a glass of wine early evening at the charming wine shop literally downstairs from this great cottage, dinner at St Pedrocs Bistro - 2 minutes walk (do book). Enjoy it all - we have!!
