Hillcrest is a Beautiful example of a period 1930's house. This is a spacious, cosy and well loved family home accommodating up to 10 people. Tastefully decorated, retaining many original features, with all soft furnishings made to a very high standard.

The kitchen being 'the hub of the house' Totally unique with cupboards doors specially made made from reclaimed old teak wood, a large gas range for cooking and a collection of interesting vintage kitchenalia.

The large kitchen diner centres around a large, specially made oak dining table with extensions - seating up to 10 people . The kitchen diner is a great space to spend time together over food and drink, enjoying each other's company - it really is a special, comfortable and cosy space

The beautiful, safe and secluded garden enjoys the sun all afternoon, with a large dining table and chairs, various seating areas and a large solid fuel igloo BBQ & Moroccan inspired summer house for cosy chill out times.

The house is conveniently located on a quiet residential street close to the beach and town - approx 10-15 min walk

Each bed is made with fresh bed linen and towels are provided

4 Good sized bedrooms - first floor - Bedrooms 2 & 4 have double beds.

Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds & double sofa bed.

1st floor Bathroom with toilet, bath tub & separate shower

Ground floor - Bedroom 1- has a Kingsize bed

Interaction with guest

I like to welcome guests personally wherever possible. When it is not possible we have a key safe just inside the garden gate - code sent before arrival. We are at hand to help - to answer any questions Stayed here for a week starting June 24. I can only echo what most other reviews express. This really is a great property to stay in. Amanda has done a wonderful job in creating a perfect holiday property. The house provides ample space and faciities for a large family. It is home from home with some really nice touches. Lovely kitchen area. It has a nice garden with barbecue. It is close to the beach and town. All in all a perfect base for what we needed and we hope to return next year.

Why can't I call Amanda (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Amanda (the owner) a message.

If Amanda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
