From this modern, spacious corner house in Pakefield you will enjoy wonderful views of the sea and the mediaeval church opposite. The sand and pebble beach in front is only a few steps away. Pakefield is a quiet village just south of Lowestoft, a traditional sea side resort, with wide, sandy award winning beaches. These are within easy walking distance along the sea promenade lined with colourful beach huts. Lowestoft is also the home of the Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park.

A short drive takes you along the beautiful Suffolk heritage coast to Southwold, Walberswick, Minsmere, Dunwich and Aldeburgh. Norwich with its shops and historic attractions is within easy reach by car or train. Oulton Broad, 2 miles, offers excellent facilities for boat trips on the Norfolk Broads. Shops 200 m, pubs 100 m. Parking at the rear of the house in a quiet cul-de-sac (off-road).

A bright and spacious open plan kitchen/diner leads to a ground floor twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom (=shower room). There are two lounges at the front of the house. The original lounge has a flat-screen Smart 42" TV, electric fire, 3-seater settee, coffee table, book case with games and puzzles and two armchairs. The sun lounge (part of the extension) has large windows on two sides, which make it a lovely bright place both winter and summer to relax in and enjoy the views. The sun lounge is furnished with two two-seater settees (one of which can be turned into a bed), a small book case and a large doll's house for children to play with. On the book case are not only books, but also some children's puzzles, books and toys.

Upstairs, there is a bathroom with a bath and shower. The twin bedroom at the rear of the house contains a pine wardrobe, pine chest of drawers and blackout curtains to help any little ones get off to sleep. The front bedroom contains a double bed in which you will wake up to a view across the sea. A great place for breakfast in bed! It has a small built-in wardrobe, set of drawers, bedside cabinets and black-out curtains.The single bedroom at the front of the house (with sea view) has a built-in wardrobe at the foot of the bed and a bedside cabinet.

The house is carpeted upstairs (except for the bathroom) with wood-effect flooring downstairs.

Fast Fibre Wi-Fi, and a selection of books, games and toys for young children are all supplied for your enjoyment. Gas central heating in all rooms provide comfort and warmth in winter months. Ample parking space. Although the house is not fully adapted for wheelchair users, it should be suitable for people with limited mobility when using the bedroom and bathroom downstairs. There is ramp access for wheelchair users from the garden to the rear of the house. Please contact the owner to check the suitability of the property if in any doubt. The house is surrounded by a large secure private garden, equipped with wooden garden furniture.

Hi Pat, Thanks for your feedback. As I live at some distance from the property, I employ a gardener who cuts the large lawns and maintains the gardens. I'll address this issue with him for the future, to ensure that paths are kept accessible at all times! As for maintenance, I do my very best to keep the house in a tip top condition and make regular investments in the house to keep it looking great. As you noticed, we replaced the stair carpet as well as the carpet upstairs last year. This year, the rooms downstairs were given a new coat of paint and we replaced the dated gas fire in the lounge with a modern electric fire. The latest additions are five brand new Which Best Buy single mattresses and new garden tables with seating for 10. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay and I hope to be able to welcome you and your family back again in the not too distant future. Best wishes, Eline

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Eline (the owner) a message.

If Eline (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
