Fantastic time at Alona Studio Bungalow
My family had a fantastic time at Alona Studio Bungalow. Clinton and his family made us feel right at home from the word go and supplied everything that you may need, including complementary toiletries, drinks and snacks. He even gave us a quick tour of Alona the first evening recommending the best places to eat and drink. The property is very peaceful but only 5 mins ride from the town and beach, there was no problem getting transportation to and from the property as they come by so frequently and are dead cheap. Both the bungalow and pool are extremely clean and bedding were even changed midweek. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and my 5 year old daughters highlight was playing in the pool and making a new friend with Clinton's daughter. We can't recommend this

We are in the rural village of Danao near to Alona beach, so you will see n experience Filipino lifestyle n culture, but with all the hoilday attractions nearby
The studio has a queen size double bed, sofa with pull out bed, flat screen cable TV, WiFi, Amazon Ehco and split Aircon. A kitchen area with sink, 2 ring ceramic electric hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, a mixer blender to make delicious shakes from all the local fruit readily avaiable, cooking utensils and tableware.
4 towels and 2 duvet sets of bedding.
Ensuite bathroom with hot n cold electric shower, toilet n washbasin and complementary toiletries
An outside patio with table n chairs next to your own private pool.
We are 2km, 5 mins by tuk tuk or motor bike taxis from Alona white sand beach, restaurants, bars, convenience stores , dive shops and nightlife.
The property is set in our garden and you will have your own private area with garden by the pool. Quiet, peaceful location but only a 5 minutes by tuk tuk or motor bike taxi ride to Alona white sand beach
We will not bother you, but just pop over if you need any advice, information or help during your stay. We live in the main house, my wife ( Cambodian ), our 6 year old daughter and myself ( British ).
We are 15km ( about 35 minutes) from Tagbilaran domestic airport with about 8 daily, 1 hours flights to Manila airport. There are also many, 2 hour fast ferry crossing to Cebu port for connecting with Cebu international airport each day. We can organise collection and return from the airport or port for 1000 peso one way or there are many taxis n tuk tuk's for hire. So getting here is easy, just fly into Manila international airport and take a domestic flight to Tagbilaran or if you are coming into Cebu International airport, take the fast ferry from Cebu port to Tagbilaran port.
There are many dive shops on Alona beach offering trips daily to nearby Balicasag, Pamlican and Virgin islands for scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming or just sightseeing. You may even see Dolphins on your way over or back, If you are not a qualified diver, consider taking a 2/3 day open water course,about 18,000 peso and you will be scuba diving underwater in the crystal blue water with all its colourful marine life to see on your 3rd day.
The most popular and developed beach is Alona but there are many other beaches scattered around the island, like Libaong white sand beach. Probably the best beach on the island. Much quieter and certainly the longest at least 3km if not more. Just 15 mins from our studio bungalow. There is also Dojo, Momo, Biking beaches and more. They just take a little finding but worth the effort.
Car and motor bike hire is readily available if you prefer to drive yourself.
For the more adventurous and energetic, one could do a full day trip or even stop over a night and take a fast ferry to Dumagette on Negros island, Cebu City on Cebu island or try beautiful Siquihor island. For something nearer, just take one of the two bridges over to Bohol island and visit the Chocolate hills, Loboc river ans waterfalls or the shopping malls of Tagbilaran. Maybe you just want to relax by the pool all day and enjoy the restaurants and bars at night. There are several nearby Hotel resorts that offer a daily chage, but consumable, where you can use all the resorts facilities
If you are looking for Sun,sand and sea in a idyllic, tropical location, we belive this is the place to come.

For main shopping if you are staying longer you will need to go to Tagbilaran for supermarkets. Transport can be arranged at 1000 pesos return. There are several convenience stores in Alona
